Hampton Inn has a homely feel. The staff was great and the lady at the snack area was very warm. Hot breakfast was available at 5 AM and for those on the run, there was a doggy bag for take away. Its right opposite the only malls in town and it was great to walk down for shopping. Well located on the main road leading to my office. I would always return back to stay at this hotel.

Stayed one night while visiting a local college with family. Easy chech-in. Breakfast bar up to expected quality. Comfortable bed. Wife wishes room had a separate makeup area.

When I made the reservation, I was sure it would be great! How wrong! The beds were wonderful and it was very quiet, even though it is a bit tricky to find the way in. It was fairly clean. The service at check in was terse. When I went down for coffee...not ready yet...we're not brewing that kind right now. No one could give me directions. I wanted to head south so they suggested I leave the hotel and go north...I'd come from that direction and knew that was not going to work! Fortunately, we had talked to a waitress at Fatz the night before so we had some decent directions and got where we needed to go. We love the area, but will certainly not return to this Hampton Inn. It's a shame.

This is one of the few quality hotels near my extended family in Greenville, SC. It's on the road from Greenville to Asheville, which is to say it's a foothills location convenient to the N.C. Mountains.

This hotel is NOT too convenient to the Interstate, (I-85), so you will need to check your GPS or maps when you're nearby. You will be very impressed by the service (they acknowledged me as a return guest @ registration), the rooms (clean, comfortable with over 80 cable channels on TV) and the spectacular mountain scenery. There are half a dozen restaurants, plus Wal-Mart, CVS and Walgreens within walking distance, and the previously mentioned small workout room and outdoor pool. I'm glad I stayed over for the 4th of July weekend, and I will be back again!
