we stayed overnight on the way to florida and again on the way back. we arrived late for showers and sleep and left early. it was just what we needed. "a cheap hotel room for the six of us to spend the night" not much good for anything else. if you are visiting family and not going to be there much or just passing though, this is the hotel for you.

This hotel is old, dirty, and run down. The rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. The bed was covered in hair and looked as if the linens had not been cleaned from the previous guest. The bathrooms are VERY outdated and barely in working order. The shower head was weak, and the water drained so slowly that it was up to my ankles by the end of the shower. Old outdated lamps and light fixtures- the room even included a VCR??!! I could handle the old room...but I cannot handle the dirty bed and barely working bathroom. Very noisy fridge that ran most of the evening. DO NOT STAY HERE!! I will say the customer service was great...when I called downstairs to notify the attendant of the bed issue, she quickly offered to come change the linens herself since there were no other rooms available.

I am used to staying at Comfort Inns and really like the beds and bedding as well as the pools and the breakfasts. This one was lacking in many areas. The staff were pleasant, but the room was older and didn't have the bedding that is advertised to be used by the chain. The bathroom was old and had a dirty feel to it, I wouldn't let my kids use the bathtub. The micro and fridge were nice, but a wetbar sink would have been helpful. The pool was green and smelled. The staff said that they had just added water and the chemicals would take a couple days to get it back to normal. They said it was safe, but I choose not to put my kids in something so questionable. The breakfast was great and the price was good, so I would stay there again if travelling through, but wouldn't recommend it as a vacation spot.

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times over the last several years with variable results. The rooms are large and in nice condition, includes VCR and DVD player, the pool and hot tub are decent and no early closing hours. The hot breakfast buffet quite nice, includes eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, more.
For the not so good, have had one stay with a large number of rowdy noisy other guests, latest stay June 2006 very disappointing. Reserved non smoking rooms and given a stinker of a smoking room that took your breath away to even walk in. This happened to two of us, they switched us to non smoking for 2 of the 4 days stay but at the end of the 2 days we were out on the street if not willing to stay in a smoking room. Had confirmation number, NON SMOK in black and white, they were not concerned or helpful in any way. I recommend trying the Ramada in Sumter a little further east. Not quite as convenient but nice rooms, quiet, excellent restaurant breakfast and a great price with good customer service, That hotel is refurbed and our choice from now on.
