Loved the hotel and proximity to Carowinds. It's about 30 minutes from Charlotte NC. The hotel is quiet, clean, and well taken care of. For the most part, the staff is great. The only problem that we had was the shuttle. They took us to Carowinds and told us that they would pick us up at anytime. However, when we called them, they said the entire group had to come back and they were only making one trip. This would have been nice to know before they dropped us off.

Staff went out of the way to help us around a Hotwire mishap! Hotel was clean, large rooms, good water pressure. Beds were firm, but soft pillows and comforters. Extra large bathroom with double sinks. Breakfast not included, and perhaps a bit pricey if you aren't very hungry, but prices in the snack area were fair. Will not be using Hotwire again, but would definitely recommend this Wingate to anyone.

What a wonderful place to stay!!! I made last minute reservations, they honored my "state employee" and gave us a great rate for a 4th of July weekend!!! The outside of the hotel was clean and the landscapped very nice, the room was awesome, very clean and 4 big fluffy pillows per bed, one of the best mattresses I've ever slept on, very thick. Wonderful flat screen television, with a desk and a chair with an ottoman. Front desk service were great and very friendly and helpful. Wonderful pool in the back. Quite area of Rock Hill, but great location to all the nearby good restaraunts. They put out a wonderful continential breakfast - not just the cold stuff, but rather warm meal to start your day!!

I will definitely be going here to stay for any future visits to the Rock Hill area.

I found this hotel late at night and all I wanted was a comfortable bed....I found it. The check in was simple, the directions to the room were very helpful. The rooms are large with plenty of room to relax. A nice comfortable chair and ottoman along with a computer desk were available. The bathroom was very clean.
The Best thing---the bed. It was so comfy and clean. Great sheets and even greater pillows. I wish I could have stayed longer and enjoyed the room but I had to get up early the next morning and leave. The breakfast was very good with many different things to chose from.
The hotel is a little difficult to get to. It is behind a restaurant and the signs to the hotel are small but this is the only negative thing about this hotel.
