We arrived in richburg at days inn to find that they are currently renovating their rooms..They have a very friendly staff, clean pool and sufficient continental breakfast that included bagels, grits, oatmeal, juice, tea, fruit, coffee, and muffins.. We were pleased with the location of the facility, the friendly staff and the newly renovated rooms were thoroughly clean..We have an understanding that they are under new management and they are improving this property daily. Also, the rates are FANTASTIC!!!

On our return from florida we stayed one night,,that was enough,,, it was filthy,,the bath and shower were so filty it looked like nobody ever cleaned it,the floor still had dirt on it when it was built in the 90's.. the breakfest was a cup of coffee and a small roll, it was wrapped in plastic so it was safe to eat,,,I hope,,,the only thing that might get me back to this place is that the front desk said new owners took it over and are going to refurbish it,,i'll stop in 6 months and look before i stay..

I'm not going to dog this place to much because it was cheap and that's what you get sometimes when you look for a bargain. I will say the front desk lady was very nice and the breakfast was small.

We booked a stay at this hotel for both on our way down to Florida and on our way back because it was about the half way mark on our route. It seemed reasonably priced and located right off the interstate.
On the way down, we arrived around 11pm and found the hotel quickly, but were extremely disappointed in the rooms. First, we were told they were queen beds and they were really double beds.The room and bathroom itsself was dirty....yuk! And the air conditioner was not working properly which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

We got up the next morning and chalked it up an unpleasant experience we would not want to relive so we decided to cancel our return trip stay/reservation. Since we booked through Travelocity, we called them to cancel the reservation as deemed by our agreement. We were given a confirmation # and that was that. Or so we thought.....

We stayed at another location on our return trip which was much better. About a week after our vacation I was shocked to see a charge on our credit card for this hotel for the reservation we cancelled.

To make a long story as short as possible, after discussions with both owner/manager of this Days Inn and Travelocity, we were still charged. No one wanted to take responsibility and each blamed the other, but we were the ones charged. I called our credit card company and the reversed the charges temporarily, but the Days Inn lied and said we could not prove we cancelled and we still had to pay. The cancellation # they gave us was bogus and I guess the cell phone record of the actual cancellation call and our receipt for the other hotel just isn't proof enough. The owner knew we didn't stay there and was just trying to make a point with Travelocity. He called me later at my home to complain about Travelocity and lecture me on why I should never use them. Actually, we won't use either again.

So moral of this story is Traveler Beware...... Be careful, you get what you pay for!!!! Or in our case....you pay for what you don't get!!!!
