“Great hotel; quiet, spacious room, well maintained.”

I originally picked this hotel simply because it was the only Hilton property available near Myrtle Beach on the Friday night before Labor Day. And, I am glad I did! While I have stayed in a few Hamptons around the country, this one is certainly at the top of the heap. We stayed in a relatively inexpensive jacuzzi room here, that had a separate living room area from the king bed room. The shower was above the Jacuzzi tub, making it a pretty big shower. The room and the entire hotel looked new, and if not new, it is meticuloulsly cared for. The bed was great, the breakfast was perfect, and the location was quiet. The staff was very nice, and this hotel stands out as one of the best-kept Hilton properties I have experienced. It was pretty close to Myrtle Beach, but not a huge high rise like is the norm there. I would stay here again, anytime, and plan to do just that next summer.

“WONDERFUL HOTEL & EXPERIENCE”

Stayed here from Aug 21-28, 2010. The only thing I will say first is that I inquired about a little lower room rate per night because of staying 7 nights but they would not budge. The hotel was VERY NICE. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. They recommended a close-by restaurant that was excellent. Our relatives were staying in a beach house in Murrells Inlet, SC. Our hotel was only about 8 miles from the house so we were there each day. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. A/C was a bit tricky but we finally got it regulated. Very quiet..only heard hall noise one or two times. Bathroom was OK..nice curved shower rod and nice shower head. Could use a little updating of caulking around tub and good cleaning around the edges of bathroom. Toilet was small. Housekeeping was very considerate. When we were going to be late leaving one morning I put out the DND sign. They slipped a note under your door to let the front desk know when they can come back. I did have to get some more towels etc. but they were very helpful. The breakfast buffet was adequate with a good selection. Something different each morning. Did not eat there each AM. There was a restaurant called "Eggs Up Grill" in the shopping center across the street. It was EGGSCELLENT!!! There was a market in the shopping area too. My husband & son went golfing several days. I had scoped out numerous courses in the area. They went to Wachesaw East several days and really liked it and the staff there. We had a wonderful vacation...much needed for our family. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would return if needed. Hoping to get into the family beach house next year! Made our plans too late this year.

“Perfect Alternative to Myrtle Beach”

Our family wanted to vacation in Myrtle Beach, but didn't want to pay oceanside hotel prices or be in the middle of the insane tourist traffic. Hampton Inn Pawleys Island -Litchfield was the answer!

The hotel is adjacent to a relatively quiet residential area. It is less than a mile from a beautiful beach, one that is not nearly as crowded and is mostly populated by families with children of every age. Quick-trip shopping, restaurants, and bicycle rental are right across the street.

Our rooms were clean and well appointed. Everyone got a good night's sleep in the comfortable beds. Flat screen televisions for viewing or gaming provided a diversion for those waiting to use the shower after a day at the beach. And the showers were great! Plenty of room and water pressure to rinse off the sand.

We were very pleased with the helpfulness of the staff. No request was too large or too small. And contrary to other reviews, we found the housekeeping staff to be efficient and pro active. If we hadn't left the room by the time housekeeping came to clean, they would leave a note instructing us to call the front desk if we wanted service. This way, all of us - staff and guests - were on the same page.

As Hilton Honors members, we were able to get a great rate on our rooms. We paid $125 per night during the week, $143 Friday and Saturday. With breakfast included (particularly helpful if you're traveling with teenagers!), we found this to be a bargain!

Overall, we give a Hampton Inn Pawleys Island - Litchfield an enthusiastic thumbs-up!!

“Nice hotel, great service from front desk, lack of service from housekeeping”

The hotel was very nice. The room was great except the bathtub/shower could use maintenance/replacement as the bottom of the tub looked very worn and dirty. Beds and bedding were awesome. Pam at the front desk was extremely friendly and provided excellent service. I was not happy that after a full day being out of the room on a fishing trip we returned to the room the way we left it...all dirty towels and beds unmade. Housekeeping for some reason did not service our room. We did NOT have the do not disturb sign on the door. I believe I may have overheard another guest the day before complaining about the same thing. i think housekeeping is marking rooms as having the do not disturb sign so they do not have to clean. There was no one in housekeeping by the time we got back and reported the problem (8pm I think) but Pam personally brought fresh towels down to the room for us. Other than the housekeeping issue and the old tub this place was very nice and reasonably priced for the area as well.

“Excellent hotel and staff”

I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling thru this area. It is the newest hotel in Pawley Island. It was clean and the staff was very nice. They had a hot breakfast which was good. The staff recommended an Italian Restaurant to us and it was very good. We stopped at another hotel in the area that had rooms that smelled like mold-which we left to go to the Hampton in. It was great to find this gem after a bad experience.
