This place was refreshing because places I have stayed people rude. Lobby was really nice with resturant but they were working on it so I did not get to eat there.Was clean and the man who waited on me was very polite and kind and helpful. Internet and it worked real nice and room was nice size. I would go back

We stayed at Days Inn, Orangeburg, SC on our way to Hilton Head. Although the rooms were inexpensive, that does not excuse the fact that they were unclean, outdated and full of roaches and spiders. The previous occupants shampoo were left in the shower and there was hair around the toilet area. It was obvious that this room had not been cleaned well.
We asked for one extra towel and were told they did not have any available and were offered a foot mat instead. Gail, who was at the front desk was completely unprofessional and rude.
She claimed the manager never comes in and she had no idea when he would be there for us to speak to.
The pool area was dirty and the pool itself had dirt and scum all around the rim of it. There is no way I'd allow my kids to swim in it. The restaurant did not open the next morning due to the staff decided not to show up for work. I'm guessing it would have been just as dirty as the rooms so we would not have eaten there anyway.
We will never, ever stay at another Days Inn under any circumstances.

A few years ago we stayed at a Days Inn on our way to Florida and were very dissatisfied but thought we would give them another chance, so we booked a night (April 1, 2006) in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The room wasn't much to look at but we were tired and felt it was only for 1 night. The next morning on our way back home, we both started itching and realized we had been bitten by bed bugs. I contacted Days Inn Worldwide located in Aberdeen. S. D. and enclosed pictures which showed the bites on our legs. I received a letter informing me that each Days Inn is independently owned and franchised. They suggested I should handle this situation with the General Manager. After writing 2 letters to the manager, giving him the room number and suggesting that this mattress be replaced and the room "debugged", I did not receive any reply. We felt we were entitled to a refund of $63.18. I, then, contacted Days Inn by phone and they refused to help me get a refund and they still felt this was not their responsibility. They just don't seem to care about upholding the reputation of their corporation or about satisfying their customers . We are very upset with the way this was handled and will not use any Days Inn again.

Best Breakfast i ever had at a hotel. they had HOT FRESH WAFFLES and GRITS, OATMEAL and MORE. Nice clean rooms and well lit parking lot. Friendly staff and very helpful with directions.
