I'd read several reviews of this property. The range of satisfaction was top to bottom. I must say that I have been visiting North Myrtle Beach since I was a child in the 1960's. This property has been in business since at least the 1970's.
The location is wonderful. Ocean front rooms and efficiencies that afford quick access to the beach and a small pool/hot-tub. There are few amenities and none that could be called "luxurious". However, if you are looking for a basic ocean front accomodation, this property hits the spot. A short drive down Ocean Blvd. puts you in shopping and dining areas. We rented a room with a small eff. kitchen. We choose to drive into Cherry Grove and purchase fresh seafood to cook in the room. With a young son, this allowed us to eat dinner w/out any agenda and to tell you the truth, most of the restaurants cannot beat the flavor of cooking your own shrimp and fish vs. the high cost of grease filled buffets.
We will return to this property, but we will bring bleach enhanced bathroom cleaners to beat back the mildew stains. This would be a turn-off to more pampered minded quests. To us, quick access to the beach from ocean front in OD/Crescent or Cherry Grove is what we want when headed to the SC coast.
