I have stayed at this Super8 several times. It is a very decent hotel in the area and I've been in a few of them. If you did find something wrong, the very friendly staff would be quick to remedy it. In reading the other reviews....the 3rd floor, where I stay, is the smoking floor, that's why it smells like smoke. If you found a hair on your sheets, in this or any hotel, you notify the staff or just go get another set of sheets at the desk which they would gladly give you. NO HOTEL washes their bedspreads after every visit, if ever. If you don't know to take off the bedspread and put it aside, that's your fault. Travel with your own blanket. It's decently maintained, but could use a good carpet cleaning, like any other place I've stayed. Always have your slippers or flip flops in ANY hotel.

The microwave & minifridge are handy to have as is the laundry room and decent vending for little snacks. It also has a very decent breakfast selection that is free. If you want a more hearty breakfast, Huddle House is right there.

Although I stay here long-term off and on, I would recommend it as a decent place to stay for a few nights for a couple or friends gathering together for events at Barefoot Landing, concerts, etc. I would not plan a long family vacation here with a large family group, there's too many other places for that. But can safely consider it for a last minute vacation getaway and/or long weekend. The beach is a couple blocks away and it's centrally located to everything Myrtle has to offer.

When rating this remember it is a hotel/motel, not a resort condo on the beach.

Stayed for three nights last week. Appreciated the quick check-in since I arrived late after a long drive. Was assigned a ground floor room in the front half of motel near the road. Noise was not an issue since traffic was low during the fall in Myrtle. Room was clean and large as was the bathroom; beds were large & comfy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic and sufficent to speed me out the door for the day.

We stayed for one night, just to wait until our check in for our condo the next day. So glad we only had to stay one night! The location is ok. The beds were comfortable. We liked that it had a small fridge for drinks. But the place was not clean. The carpets felt like they had never been cleaned so we had to keep our shoes on. We found hair on the bed sheets and even hair barrettes still beside the bed in the floor. There were a bunch of stray cats outside in the parking lot and quite a bit of noise at night. When we first checked in we found bright red stains on the carpet. Hubby thought it could have been blood. I don't think it was as we asked for another room and the stains were there too. It could possibly been a cleaner had the floors felt clean. Sadly they weren't so the stain is a mystery. Our keys quit working after a quick trip to the grocery store for snacks and had to be reactivated after just an hour. The price was cheap but you can find better for the same or a little bit more. I don't recommend for families.

We stayed one night at this Super 8. We were not pleased with the room, but it was a place to shower and sleep until we could get to our other accommodations. When we left the next morning, we realized that we had left some items behind. We went back just moments later to find the motel door was already open, no one was in the room, the room had not been cleaned, and our items were missing. The only thing left was one can of Coke in the fridge. The one housekeeper was very nice, helpful, and was busy cleaning one of the rooms. She explained that the other housekeeper had opened the other motel doors and even offered her a soda from our room. (She declined the offer.) The other housekeeper was checking the rooms for items left behind. When confronted with management, she retrieved some of our items from the backseat of her car - they were covered\hidden under clothing. She only returned a few items. What's shocking is she even had our steak in her car from our dinner the previous evening! Would we stay there again? NEVER!
