“Decent accommodations, but nothing remarkable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

This is a relatively new and spiffy facility, about 10 minutes from the historic district that draws most tourist interest. Well furnished and clean. No restaurant on site (and nothing much beyond fast food joints nearby). Free parking. Rates (about $105 per night, AAA) struck us as higher than the location and amenities warranted -- but Charleston itself is a relatively expensive city to visit.

“Very Pleasantly Surprised”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

Based on the rate I booked when I called 1-800-holiday I assumed this would be a mediocre hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. This is an excellent limited service hotel and the value is incredible. The bed was comfortable and the free breakfast was great, I will stay here again.

“No Complaints!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 September 2011

With the storms messing up our planned beach trip to FL, we changed our location to Charleston last minute since there was no rain forecasted there. Everything in downtown Charleston was booked or overpriced so we settled for staying 20 min out. The location was convenient to the interstate and the traffic to downtown was not bad at all! It's in a pretty safe location and plenty of families were staying here as well. Being 3 ladies traveling, safety was important. The hotel was clean, rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable! Love how they give you a firm and soft pillow! This was a newer hotel so no wear and tear showing. The staff were very helpful with directions and recommendations for lunch/dinner downtown. If they didn't know, they were quick to look up things on the internet for us!
There was an outdoor pool but it was small - enough for kids to get in and enjoy.
Fitness room is 3 machines in a very small room but I def wasn't there to work out!
Rooms had a decent sized mini fridge and microwave! Also flat screen TV.

“very satisfied”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2011

This hotel was very clean, maid service was excellent and the breakfast buffet was plentiful and very good, with excellent variety. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. The lady over the breakfast buffet was always cheerful and helpful. All in all, this is a great value and we would stay there again. We didn't use the pool and although it is small, it looked clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and we never ran out of hot water. There was a small refrigerator, microwave and cupboards in the room if you wanted to bring snacks and drinks.
