This hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast had a good variety.

Clean, comfortable with all the comforts of home. As for the people in the parking lot -had there is a bar in the lobby - I had to go get some things out of my truck and they were just outside smoking. I will offend a lot of people here but you can create non smoking enviroments but you won't stop smokers. The non smokers just can't have it all.

We needed a room for one night, and due to some weekend event happening in Charleston that weekend EVERYTHING else was booked. We paid over $100.00 for a room that should have cost about $35.00. We would have booked in advance however this was a last minute need for a hotel room. The staff was friendly at check in, other than charging us too much for this run down room. Our room faced the interstate so we heard traffic all night long, it never let up. The room had a microwave and fridge, however the microwave did not work.

The night my husband and I checked in it was very late. The hotel has a bar set up in the middle of the lobby and there was loud music playing (it didn't bother me, but would have if I could hear it in my room). The girl at the front desk was very nice and got us check in quickly. There were a lot of people just hanging out in the parking lot, it looked like they were drinking and hanging out near their cars (but in all fairness I don't know if that's what they were doing). There were 2 shirtless guys hanging over the balcony with beers...and I am sure about that. The room itself was nice, the bed was comfortable. There were some loud folks down the hall initially but they did quiet down. The next morning we did not have any hot water in the shower. We went down for breakfast and that was nice. It was a warm breakfast buffet so that was a nice treat, the food was pretty good. We let the manager know about the hot water, her name was Stephanie. She was great...very nice! She let us go into the room next to ours to shower. She offered to switch our room but we were checking out. She did give us a discount off of the room (which I was greateful for, she didn't HAVE to do that). Overall the Ramada itself was OK but they did have some sketchy characters around the place that made me feel a little uneasy. I don't know if I would stay here again. I might consider it b/c the room was nice and so were the staff. Luckily I don't think we'll be back to Charleston anytime soon.
