Room was very clean .this hotel does not have room service but the staff is very friendly and helpful you can exchange your linene at any time.the room has a full size refridgerator with a freezer plenty of cabinet space. we were able to save money by being able to cook in the room.even though we were ther only for aweek it was kind of sad leaving because the staff made us feel asif we were family while there. If I ever have a chace to come to charleston again I will be staying at Value Place Rivers. I see some people have complaints but we did not experiance any unplesantness while we were there but as always there are always some folks who are never satisfied.My suggestion is before you decide on a hotel go by value place and take a tour for yourself.

It was clean, cheap and the staff was good but, it was very noisey, there were four young guys staying above me who seem to run back and forth and houresplay most of the night, it was so loud that they would wake me at 2-3 in the morning. I told the management but it continued so I had to find another place.

Everything was clean, neat, and orderly. I've stayed at another weekly rate hotel before and it was horribly disappointing. Value Place Northside was everything but disappointing. Yes, I had to pay $10.00 a week for the high speed internet....you need a Cat-5 cable (I think that's what it's called). I didn't have one and the desk clerk let me use one of theirs. Yes, I had to bring an extra roll of TP from home just in case I needed it for the week (one was in the room already). Yes, I brought a couple of plates, some silverware, and cups from home. I didn't need pots and pans as I lived off of TV dinners. The lack of frills didn't bother me one bit. I felt safe in my room, in the elevator, on the hotel grounds. Everyone I met (both guests and staff) were very friendly. Even the children were well behaved. It was more like a cozy apartment atmosphere than an extended stay hotel. The hotel is very conveniently located....close to restaurants, shopping. Next time I visit Charleston for more than a couple of days I will stay at Value Place Northside. You can't beat the price.

Well worth the money . Staff is friendly , hotel is safe, quiet.
