“Ok for the money...”

We stayed here for a dance convention in January. The hotel itself is quite old- but for its age I thought the room was pretty clean. It could definitely benefit from a massive renovation! We stayed in an oceanfront room and had a great view of the ocean with a balcony. We were on an end unit- which normally I would love, but there was some sort of generator room below our balcony- so we could hear a constant loud hum if we were out on the balcony. The hallways are very dark- almost creepy at night. The kids loved this hotel because they have a huge indoor pool. The staff was very nice and pleasant. So, I would stay here again- for the kids, if I were going with adults, I would go somewhere much nicer. As usual, you get what you pay for...

We appreciate you taking the time to write a review about your experience at the Landmark. We are happy to hear that your room was clean and that you had a great view of the ocean. We constantly have renovation projects around the hotel to help improve our property. For example, our Pub Lounge recently received a facelift and is now called Latitude's Lounge. I am also glad to hear that your kids loved the indoor pool and that you had a good experience with our staff.
We would love to have you and your family back with us the next time you visit the area. If there is any way we can assist you please do not hesitate to let us know.

Sincerely,
Melissa Busch

“Mixed feelings!!”

Let me start by saying we did not rent from Landmark, we stayed there thru a vacation club, GDV. I this this resort is ok, just not the standard that we are used to with GDV. Landmark itself seemed to be fine, aging but being taken care of, personel that we encountered were very friendly. Our unit had great view from the 15th floor of ocean and surrounding area. The unit (1551) was adequate, for 2 people but no more even though I think it said 6 or 8. Nice access to the beach, enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. Would like to have used fitness room and business center, but was not allowed since we didn't rent thru Landmark, so that was a good lesson, always ask about the amenties you can enjoy if you do not rent from Landmark. Landmark does have covered parking which was great. This would probably be good place if you had children to entertain.

“great stay”

This is my second stay at the landmark. It is a great affordable place to stay. I had an ocean front room on the 5th floor. My room attendent checked every day to see if I wanted my room cleaned and did a good job. I love the many hot tubs. The mattress in my room was alittle to firm for my taste. It is clsoe to many good resturants and the food line is just around the corner.

Room Tip: I liked staying on the 4th or 5th floor easy access to the parking garage.

We stopped for an evening, with our family, on our way home from Parris Island to celebrate our Grandson's Graduation from the Marines. The service at both the motel and the restaurant was AWESOME!!! Everyone that we dealt with helped us with a smile on their face!!! "Thank you"!!!

Room Tip: We had rooms that had a balcony that overlooked the ocean.

“Good value for your money, especially with kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

The hotel was not anything fancy. Lots of good amenities. It obviously has seen better days, but still functions well as a family-friendly hotel. It reminds me a lot of places I stayed at when I was a kid. Assuming you have kids along, for what you pay you get a lot. Good location (oceanfront, walking distance to some good classic Myrtle Beach hangouts), nice pools (the indoor pools and lazy river were great in January), restaurants on-site, easy parking (deck across the street with covered walkway).
