Not bad the staff was very nice. The guest's well some are rude slamming doors all hours of the night. I normally stay right on the beach but for a last minute trip it was just fine very comfortable King bed in my room makes me wish I had a king bed I think this bed was the most comfortable bed I ever slept in at a hotel . I did not see that this hotel had been renovated so I do not know what was meant by that. And I hope this is going to the correct Super 8 On Hwy 17 by the Coastal Mall they call it back gate................A few suggestions for breakfast apple juice and bagels. Great Staff and the King bed was the best for me..........

I read some of the reviews online and I thought we were getting a great deal, but instead it was a DUMP! So what do I mean when I say DUMP, the whole place just looked dirty. When we first walked in it looked nasty, the elevator was nasty and we even saw a roach, later in week riding the elevator with us. Then we got to our room and the bathroom looked terrible, it looked like it had never been cleaned. The room had a smell, like it was old, the sheets had old stains, and oh yea they don't change the sheets everyday if you stay more than one day they just make the bed! YUCK! Believe me I could just go on and on about this DUMP, be why this is your WARNING! DON'T STAY HERE, PLEASE! Don't get me wrong I have stayed at alot of Motel 8(s) before and they were great, but this one sucks! Oh yea and they overcharge for this DUMP!

I thought this hotel would be o.k. based on the reviews from Trip Advisor. I was looking for something budget priced that would accept animals. The price was great but it was not worth it in the end. This hotel is FILTHY. The elevator had dirt in every corner and the walls were filthy. We were given a non smoking room but there were ashtrays in every hallway and right outside our door. The carpet had a black stain all the way from end to end and the rest of the hallway carpet was filthy. In our room the bathroom was disgusting. There was urine all around the toilet. There were hairs everywhere. The sink counter was all melted from cigarettes and looked like maybe someone left their curling iron plugged in too long. There were brown splatters of something all over the walls. The bed box springs were stained and ripped. The phone, table and microwave were covered in grime.
The breakfast was so-so. My son loved the waffles. But the area they had the milk in looked moldy. They ran out of food really quickly. There is no one actually taking care of the breakfast area so it gets messy and sticky.
The hotel is in a really rough area of town also. It was scary. There were police at the gas station across the street twice in the four days we were there. I know this a pet freindly hotel but there was dog poop everywhere outside. No one picked up after their animals and the hotel did nothing about it. The only two things good about this hotel are that it is cheap and it is dog friendly. Next time I will either put my dog in a kennel or I would pay double or triple to upgrade from this dump.

my experience with your hotel was outstanding ,the staff was very friendly ,the room was very clean and comfortable the overall environment was good and i would recommend others to stay at this hotel , the hotel location was close to everything and i definely will return
