We had a very relaxing and quiet stay. We would suggest staying at this resort for a winter get away. No long lines to wait for anything. Great time and place to just kick back and have a relaxing time. Pool was the high light of my stay. The water was like a warm bath. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the exercise room. He made many new friends there. The view from my balcony was breathtaking in the morning and evening. I got lots of beautiful pictures.

Well , based on the positive reviews of this resort, I almost thought perhaps I had stayed at another Grande Shores resort... But nope...77th Ave North... Same one. :)

My girlfriend and I booked our stay in late January based on cheap rates found on Travelocity. We both go to Myrtle Beach quite a bit but neither of us had ever stayed here. We rolled in pretty late. The "resort" is pretty dated, but we knew we did't pay that much (around 70ish for the night) so we just wanted a clean , semi decent place to stay.

The stay was very nice... The room, however, was incredibly disappointing. Very old, not quite "resort" or "Grande" in any way. It looks like they tried to do some sort of interior rennovation at some point in the room we were in. The cabinets were new....the stove was probably 20-30 yrs old..or looked it... The bathroom had a new vanity and mirror, but the bath tub looked to be the original. Old and dirty appearing. The bedspreads looked pretty old, although the bed itself seemed fairly clean and I will have to say, the beds slept well... Or we were just very tired.

We would have changed hotels that night but it was very late and we just wanted to crash for the night. Since we booked our reservations through Travelocity, we had to go through a very tedious process of cancelling our 2nd nights stay with the hotel through Travelocity. It was very frustrating and they have lost any of our future business. In fairness to the hotel, they were willing to accomodate us with another room but by that point we just wanted out of there.

Thankfully we are somewhat local to Myrtle Beach. We were disappointed after only driving a few hours. As we walked through the parking lot seeing tags from New Jersey, New York, Ontario, etc, I looked at my girlfriend and commented on how we would have felt arriving there after driving THAT far !... I can only imagine what the people raving about this place are used to. I suppose if I were having a bachelor party weekend or in my college years, I would love it. We're both pretty low maintenance but this was just not an acceptable place to stay. Thank God we found a room the next night at Breaker's North Tower. The difference we paid in price was maybe 10-15 bucks but was night and day . Lesson learned...No more stays at "Grande " Shores and no more business with Travelocity. Book directly with the hotel ! :) And if you take nothing else from my review, remember EVERYTHING from hotels to restaurants is hit and miss in Myrtle Beach. From season to season...

Our room had a beautiful view ,very clean , would stay again. Even though we stayed in feb it was great still able to walk on the beach. Alot of attractions were closed due to being off season but still had plenty to do. i would like to come back in september

My fiance' and I go to Myrtle Beach every year and have stayed here for the past 3 years. The staff is very friendly. We've never had any issues. Have always requested an ocean view room and have not been disappointed. Its extremely nice to be able to park on the same level of your room. Its an amazing value and to walk out the door and a few feet away is the beach.... so convienient! I don't have enough words to express how much I love this place.
