We got a really good price for the off season so we decided to give it a try. I can say the hotel is pretty dated. When we checked in (front desk staff very pleasant) we went to certain elevators to get to the 10th floor. The right elevator stopped working when we got on and the left elevator was being stopped by the clean up crew. It took us almost 30 minutes to get to the room. The room itself also was dated but clean. Flushing the toilet was an experience though. It sounded like a jack hammer in the living room wall! There where enough towels but only 1 shampoo and 1 bar of soap. The indoor pool and lazy river where nice. The bowling alley was great as well as the staff (the bartender was the best!) The hotel was nice enough but don't think we will be staying there again any time soon.

We drove 6 hours to get to Myrtle beach, got to the hotel before check in and gave them our information to call us when our room was ready.... Finally around 5:30, we decided to go check ourselves if our room was ready and it had been but we never received a call... We got into our room, which by the way, if you are near the parking garage - you will hear EVERYTHING.... Our room was DISGUSTING!!!! It smelled of mold, cigarattes and was so nasty. There were hairs in our bed and we wouldn't let our toddler even down on the floor to walk. I complained to the front desk, they gave us another room and it was the same thing.... FYI if you want an ocean view, good luck trying to break your neck to see the ocean, we got a view of the parking lot and had to lean off the balcony. We ended up never even taking our things out of our car. I went to the front desk for yet another time and got my money back, as were about 5 other families who were disgusted as well.... The girl at the front desk was rude and the manager was no better. We ended up going not even a 1/4 mile down the road and stayed at the Sandy Beach hotel for 3 days. For $15 more bucks a night, it was well worth it. Sandy Beach was clean, staff were helpful and we would stay there again.. BEWARE OF CAPTAINS QUARTERS!!!! It honestly looks like they stole pictures from another hotel, because this place is a DUMP!

The hotel is pretty old, but the rooms were clean. Spacious oceanfront or ocean view suites for families. We loved having a kitchen and table to be able to eat in as well as full separate living and bedroom areas. The pools and bowling alley were fun for the kids. The prices are very reasonable during the off-season. The staff was very friendly. We had a problem with a lot of noise from kids running and playing outside our room in the middle of the night, but the staff took care of it as soon as we contacted them. Overall, it was a good stay.

I attended a corporate function held at Captains Quarters and stayed the night in ine of. The angle oceanfront suites. I am local to Myrtle Beach and this was the first resort I've stayed. I was very impressed. The service at the front desk was wonderful, the staff and food at our event was great, and the room was fantastic. I had a wonderful view of the pool area, and of course, the beautiful ocean. I would definitely come back for a staycation!
