On previous winters we have cruised or taken trips south. This year we are spending 6 weeks here and will do it again. Family and friends are joining us as we have the waterfront 3 bedroom condo. Martin's Restaurant on the property has marvelous service and good meals in an elegant setting. Martin's also serves a wonderful breakfast buffet. The cranberry scones are to die for. If you want to go casual, there is Starbucks and a small cafe with an outdoor balcony. The indoor pool, hot tubs and lazy river are great when the weather is cold. In the warm or hot weather they have an outdoor pool & deck chairs. There is also a small exercise room which is quite adequate. The staff are helpful and if by any chance a little problem happens, you get it fixed right away. They also offer information on restaurants and directions and whatever else you might need. If you are into birds and porpoises, you will see them if you enjoy wildlife watching. The decor is good but does not quite rate a 5 star. However we find the place really quite nice and as I said will return again and again.

I had a group of 20 golfers stay and play for a week in Jan 2012, i was impressed from the begining with the ease in making or changing reservations, Eleanor was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with. Sarah in the golf department was very professional and helped make our stay enjoyable. Check-in and check-out went without a hitch. Rooms were clean and and well appointed. I would like to say a special thank you to Jennifer and the night staff who took care of a small problem in our room. We have stayed at a number of resorts in Myrtle beach over the past 27 years and consider Long Bay Resort head and shoulders above the rest. Looking forward to Jan 2013.

Stayed here for the first time and everyone was so great! The room was clean and the view was amazing. Front desk staff was so helpful in giving us some great things to do on our trip. Will definitely go back this year!

My family and I decided to take a long weekend to visit Myrtle Beach. This was our first time visiting the area and we were blessed with gorgeous Carolina blue skies and perfect weather!! I've heard Myrtle Beach called "The Redneck Riviera" so I was a little concerned when choosing and booking a resort. Upon our arrival I was pleasantly surprised! The resort was gorgeous, and the staff was EXCELLENT, they really offered a 5 Star Customer Service Experience. The actual room was spotless and we felt at home immediately. The pool area was great for the kids, and we were really able to relax and enjoy the weekend. Every staff member we encountered always greeted us with a smile, they were so friendly and professional, always willing to answer questions or point us in the right direction. My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting a woman in the front office named Jennifer - she was an absolute doll. We have zero complaints about this resort and we will definitely be back to Long Bay.. hopefully sooner rather than later!
