I stayed at the property across the street from the beach and paid $52 for a room with two queen beds, which I thought was an excellent value. Just about the whole hotel has been attractively redone. Although it seems to be an older property, the exterior of the whole property has been painted a sunny yellow and each room has two white rocking chairs outside the front door.
We stayed on the first floor, and were able to park right outside our front door. This location also gave us convenient access to the outdoor pool and the included continental breakfast at reception. The outdoor pool and lazy river is not heated (even the spa is cold) but there is an indoor pool at the beachfront property across the street that you can use. The reception/breakfast area is also being redone. They give you "tickets" for breakfast to prevent random people from just walking in. At breakfast there are: hot waffles, biscuits, cereal, egg patties, muffins, orange juice/coffee/tea, etc. You also have to provide a $5 cash room key deposit that is returned to you upon checkout.
I was very impressed with our room: Brand new carpeting and furniture; Large comfortable beds; A flat screen tv with plenty of stations AND a remote that had been sanitized (see picture). There are two doors to the room: one door opens onto the patio and the other door is accessible from the rear of the hotel. The bathroom is very well done with a new wood vanity and granite countertop.
The front desk staff were very nice and called us when we left behind items in the room after we had checked out. I would definitely stay here again. It was very clean and comfortable and an incredible value!
