Our family has been comming here for a winter weekend for several years now and really love it.
The breakfast is free and ok. The indoor water pools are always clean and well kept up. Many snowbirds winter over here and it is great to talk with them and meet new folks. Rooms have been redone and are top rate always clean. I really like the balconies and southern views. Truly one of the best deals going at MB in the off season, you can always catch a sunny weekend if you are flexible . Watch out for the parking garage bring the small car if you have one!

We meet friends in Myrtle Beach every year for a mid-winter thaw, and have stayed at Monterey Bay a number of times -- and hope to do so again next year. The rooms are as good as any of the Myrtle Beach "resorts" we've stayed in (and much better than some). Our room was clean and comfortable. The price was excellent. Breakfast was good -- especially for the price (i.e. free). The 10th floor outside pool was heated last winter (as warm as bath water), but that was not the case this January. The indoor pool downstairs was not as warm as it had been during previous stays. The parking spaces are a bit snug, but no more than other places we've stayed in Myrtle Beach.

I am very impressed with this hotel,all the rooms have a living room a kitchen,a bedroom with 2 beds and then in the living room you have a bed in the wall.All rooms face the ocean and have a very nice balcony to watch the beach and listen to the ocean.They provide a very nice hot breakfast every morning and having two girls and being a single mom we went to the store to buy food for lunch and dinner saving money that way.They have a wonderful hot tub,one inside and one outside,they have a nice pool one inside and when it is cold they can shut the door to the pool and you have a very nice and big indoor pool when it is hot you can swim from inside to the outside pool or go up to the 10th floor and swim in the pool there or enjoy the hot tub on that floor while looking at the beach.And most of all the people are very friendly.KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS!

Check in was a breeze in less than 5 minutes. Suite was fresh smelling and really clean. Breakfast was just like home cooking consisting of grits, eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, toast and a selection of cereal, fruit and muffins with a fantastic view of the ocean from the dining room area. The beds in the suite were queen, one firm and one soft. The only thing I would change is to reverse the bedroom to the living room area where you could hear the ocean waves during the night and wake up to see the sun come up over the ocean.
