Our first visit to your resort and the staff was Exemplary!! We seniors had to request a 2 BR flat instead of the condo with stairs we originally booked. The staff was helpful in finding a room which was immaculately clean and senior citizen equipped. The beds were great and the ocean view each morning from the balcony was breath-taking. I normally don't cook on vacation but this well equipped kitchen was inviting. We shed tears of joy when we entered our room and tears of sorrow that we had to leave. Could not have picked a better spot for grandma duty during the school break. We're suggesting the family reunion there in Dec 2012!!!

My boyfriend and i stayed 2/8/2012 for 2 days for our 3rd anniversary. I gotta say, we've stayed at many resorts and motels on the strip but by far this was the nicest! check in was fast and the room was wonderful. just the right size. it was a 1 br ocean front deluxe suite. i requested the palmetto tower.it was completed in 2008. we stayed in room 1107 and the view was spectacular. the indoor pool and hot tub were clean and quiet. the fitness center was extensive and all of the equipment worked! I'm absolutely happy we picked the sandy beach resort. we'll be back soon

Sandy Beach has an old side and a new side. The old side a relative of mine was staying in had cockroaches. Also the furniure is so broken down you can't sit on it for more than a hour or so and your back starts hurting. The newer side were I stayed. I saw no cockroaches but know from living in Missouri for awhile that if they are in the building they are everyplace. The newer section rooms are large and spacious but again couches need replaced. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, slept great except for the street noise that started about 6am each day, could of shut my blacony door and slept better but hearing the ocean is part of the trip to the ocean right. The indoor pool is small for as many winter guest as they have. the large outdoor hot tub is gross 3 times went to get in it and it had hair and other particles floating (looked like flakes of skin) and the temperature was luke warm for a "hot" tub. The other hot tub was hot, neither hot tub jets gave a massage, they basically had bubbltes come out that went right to the surface. They do have a nice work out area and a nice laundry room. Parking is across the street, they have minimal handicapped parking esp. in Winter when the snow birds are their not sure how some get to their cars each day. The people that own the condos can have pets and can smoke, so make sure when your checking in that if you have allergies that the owner didn't just have their dog their or was chain smoking. A owner was on the floor i stayed on and you could smell his smoke daily all through the hall ways, they were always up their spraying to cover up the odor...but the spray was just as bad, if I had COPD i would not of been able to breath on that floor.

Sandy Beach....Myrtle Beach's PUBLIC POOL!!!!!!!!! Stayed there June 2011 and was very disappointed! There were potato chips floating in the hot tub and the lazy river smelled like urine. The place got very crowded, as people off the streets were coming in to enjoy the pools. The hotel put forth no effort to kick out non-paying guests. We have stayed there in the past but will not be returning.
