Went with family, thought everything was very nice. The condo itself is very large and clean. I really have no complaints at all.

My entire family was pleased. Worth every penny and will be the chosen hotel every stay when visitng M.B. SC.

After reading mixed reviews, we weren't sure what to expect, but we loved the Horizon!! It was clean, the condo was beautiful, it was relatively quiet and we found it very relaxing! We had a beautiful view of the ocean and enjoyed watching the sunrise from our balcony on several mornings! Just off the beach, the brief walk to the beach is quick and easy. We also found it easy to get around Myrtle Beach from the Horizon, it was a quick drive to anywhere we wanted to go and we loved the fact that we weren't staying in the middle of mass confusion! The free underground parking was great, too. My only suggestion to the hotel would be to put another lamp in the king sized bedroom. We can't wait to go back and take more of our family!

The room and the facilities were nice, and just a short walk to the beach made it very nice for the children. However, the service was poor--housekeeping came early one day and when we requested she return in an hour while we went to the beach, she didn't return until later in the afternoon when we were back in the room. We then went to the pool and told them we would be out of the room for hours, but she never returned at all. The front desk folks were pleasant, but not very accommodating. When we arrived, we were told our reservation was cancelled somehow. Luckily there were other rooms available. When we requested late check out (on a Monday and the hotel was practically empty!) we were curtly denied. Sometimes the little things can make a big difference between whether or not you return/recommend a facility.

Again, the hotel rooms were quite lovely and spacious (except for the pillows!!! The worst pillows I have EVER laid on--quite bizarre, really); but the staff leave something to be desired.
