My fiancé and I recently went on an over-night trip to Myrtle Beach. We had no reservations, it was just a spur of the moment. Being only 18 & he is 21, choice was limited. So when Comfort Inn allowed us to stay (after paying a security deposit) we were relieved we didn't have to stay in a dump. The guy at the front desk looked at us like we were just some kids and didn't treat us like guests. Neither of us liked that considering we're not the kind to make a lot of noise and cause a disturbance. The check in was quick and easy. The inside of the building is rather out dated and looks like an old motel in the hall ways. Clean, just old. Entering our room, we had two double bed. The mattresses were basic mattresses, fairly springy. On the bright side they did have fluffy pillows. The view was great, and the pools were really nice. As we were leaving, check out moved quickly. After the same guy at the front desk did the room inspection & realized we did no damage and gave us our security deposit back, his attitudes changed. Oh & the breakfast area is really nice and they do have a good variety and it's good :) I'd stay again.

Remote to the tv didnt work but the batteries did, internet was hit and miss, towels were not replaced but the worst was the 2nd floor was a smoking floor and while some was getting high in the room below us it lofted up through the cheap and subpar ventalation system. When i told the front desk, they told me they couldnt move me and my newborn baby to a different room despite the fact there were maybe ten cars in the parking lot for the entire hotel. Find it hard to believe that they had no other rooms. Plus if youre going to have a smoking floor, why have another floor above it where the smoke is going to go. We will remember this experience when booking our next trip

My Wife and I stayed there one night on Nov 11, 2011. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Did not see anything really wrong with this place just that is was old and did need some minor touch up. Our room face the ocean and you could hear the waves breaking at night, which to us was nice. The breakfast area was clean and fully stock. Check in was quick and easy

I ended up staying here to try something different then the usual place I stay at JH. All in all it is what I expected. I will return back to JH since the unit I stay in is updated and also has a ocean view. This room at the comfort inn needed updating had a toilet cover that was two big and made noise anytime some one sat on it very annoying at night. The internet worked very well for us. Since I am an off season traveler I was not crazy about having to go out in the cold to get to the indoor pool, however it was clean and warm. I think having a one room is ok but having a two room unit with kitchen at the other place gave me much more for my buck. Try Cagneys for dinner on kings Highway great dinner.
