This is our second stay in the past month. My husband and I came alone the first time and enjoyed the room with a king bed. This time we brought our two boys with us, so we stayed in a room with 2 double beds. Each time our rooms were clean and well maintained. If I had to complain, it would have to be that the pool had a lot of chlorine as the first floor had a strong smell of the pool. The hotel location is central to all attractions and amenities. We will definitely stay here again.
So many places in Myrtle Beach are just not very clean. I have never had a problem with a Marriott Hotel. Really friendly staff. has a pool and gym too! As soon as we walked in it felt clean. It was a really good price too for our 2 full beds. They also give the baby a pack-n-play. We had a microwave, fridge, nice tv, and wireless. I liked the pillows too. We all slept well. I would come back here every time we go now.
Service and amenities were average. It worked well for the family, they all enjoyed it. Pool was inside, which is good for hot mid-days so the kids can still swim and not have to be worried about sunburns, keeping eyes on the kids, or dragging sand everywhere. Marriott platinum points arrival gift of 500 is already meager compared to some loyalty programs, but then Courtyard has to take it a step further and give you even less. Courtyard has always given less at the ones I've been too, so it was expected, but I think that if you do not have a full service hotel, then they can at least give you the standard 500. My stay was last summer.
We have stayed at this Courtyard several times over the years when taking quick weekend trips to Myrtle Beach. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the staff has always been pleasant. The only downside to this hotel is that the pool is an indoor pool. We spend a lot of our time at the beach anyways and public parking for beach access is only a few minutes away. Overall I would say this is a great place for a quick weekend trip if you are ok with not being right on the beach.
