“Always a great experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

For the past 5 years, this has been THE hotel I stay in when traveling for work, and I will continue to do so! Safe location, the staff is super friendly, the hotel is clean, and the rooms are clean! I have also enjoyed the workout room here, which offers the basic needs to get in a good workout. It's a central location to everything in the Myrtle Beach area, including both sets of Tanger Outlets, offering the best price available.

“Never again”

Stayed here one night. Had a suite. The carpet was wet - that's pretty nasty. They "don't have any way to fix that because it's a beach hotel." I thought that was funny since you would have to drive at least 10 minutes to get to the water. The internet signal is so weak you can't use it unless you are sitting in the lobby. The elevators went out - so lots of stairs and shouting. Overall it was pretty miserable.

This one is not off the interstate - you drive down lots of surface streets to get to it. There are stores and surf shops and some food around. You might think twice about where you walk.

“Wonderful relaxing stay”

I enjoyed the stay, it was quiet, clean and the staff was helpful. I love being able to check in and find a clean bathroom with all essentials. The bed was clean and you could tell the carpet had been vaccumed thoroughly. The breakfast was great. I would stay again.

“Nice hotel weak staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 December 2011

This hotel is in a nice location and is visually appealing and clean. I went down to the breakfast area to get a cup of coffee and went to the front desk to make an inquiry. I did not see anyone behind the desk but a woman in the breakfast area eating asked if I needed help. I said yes and turned around and waited at the counter. Well apparently she was the counter person and she didn't seem too happy that she had to get up and see what I wanted. Is anyone training the personnel here? On my last visit to this hotel I was spoken to rudely by the breakfast attendant who was yelling at the top of his lungs for everyone to get out as breakfast was over when I looked at the counter personnel they were egging him on. Although we otherwise enjoyed our visit and this is a clean hotel there are many of those in Myrtle Beach and I think we will pass on a third stay at this hotel. I highly recommend that the management contact the Hilton Garden Inn in Suffolk VA and ask for their assistance in training the front desk staff.

“Great Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

This was our end point stop on our vacation this year. Stayed here 4 nights. I love the location, 1) it is just a little away from the really busy section, and 2) it is located on a corner, so we had access to two different exit points on different streets at a light, so that made getting in and out convenient. Not too far from the beach, I have heard you could walk, but considering the busy highway, we drove a short few blocks down and parked in the public parking. The staff was helpful in guding us on where to park.

The place has a fitness room, it was pretty bare minimum, but I did manage to make myself workout one morning. There is an indoor pool, rather small, but for the kids it was plenty for them to splash around in.

I would like to see the business center actually be a room, rather than a desk facing away from the checkin desk, in a high traffic area, but other than that, it was all good. We did not bring our laptop, so I cannot comment on any internet.

Free hot breakfast. I'm trying to recall what all was on it, but I've waited too long.

Room was fine, we have 5 in our party, which as some of you know can make for interesting reservation arrangements, but our room had two beds plus a wall bed, which let my oldest have his own area. So we were accomodated greatly, and really only spent the end of the day in our room, as we were out and about enjoying the city during the day.

Bottom line, if we return to Myrtle Beach some day, I would not mind staying at the same hotel again, and barring some drastic change in conditions or price, would probbably not even look elsewhere. I recommend this place, it was what I expected, not a high end hotel that you pay several hundred for, but for what we needed in a stay, and it served us well.
