This is a newer, economy-price property that features efficienty studio accommodation with kitchenettes (full fridge, microwave, stove, sink, counter, cupboards, pots/dishes, coffeemaker, toaster, iron, no d/w no oven).
It offers very good value but ONLY if you stay 7 nights or more which costs about $25/night less than do short stays. I'd recommend elsewhere for a short stay.
Check the company website for a virtual tour of a room; it exactly matches the room at this location. Rooms are available with 1 queen, 2 doubles or 1 king bed (which are slightly larger rooms and cost $5 extra)
Motel is budget quality but still suprisingly new-ish (only 7 yrs old), in excellent condition inside and well-maintained. It's very quiet and other guests are orderly. It has well-light interior corriders that look like new. But people should be aware that there's no pool or facilities and only twice-weekly room cleaning, but you have a kitchen and rooms are in great shape. Towels, linens, etc and coffee (for the coffee-maker) are freely available from the front. Local calls are free. Rooms have both dial-up and high-speed wireless internet, plus windows that open!
Location is great, in Mount Pleasant just across from Historic Charleston via the new bridge. You'll save a huge bundle here compared to the historic area. And it's by a safe, upscale residential area. Also nearby are historic olde Mount Pleasant, Patriots Point, Yorktown exhibit, Shem Creek, Charles Pinckney State Historic Site (free plantation/house), Isle of Palms and numerous restaurants for all budgets
Recommended for anyone looking for the above. When you book, enter ESH10 into the promo/coupon box and you get $10 off your stay.
