I have been staying at the Shem Creek Inn for the last three years during the Lowcountry Oyster Festival and have had a great time each visit. The rooms are great and the Inn is in a prefect location, Charleston is just ten minutes away. There are great restaurants very close by. The staff was great as well. Desean, one of the front desk staff, had several great suggestions for things to do while my family was there during our latest stay. We had some picky eaters with us but he had the right place to eat every time. Thank you Desean. I hope that the Shem Creek Inn continues to provide custom service like what my family and I received this last stay and we will continue to give you our business.

This is a unique place to stay. How often to you get to stay at a motel and watch shrimp boats and dolphin going by and have great places to eat and drink within walking distance of your room. The rooms have recently been remodeled and have a microwave and small fridge. The only thing that was a problem for us was the ac unit was pretty loud when it would knock on and off and would wake us up everytime.

This motor inn is located a short and easy drive outside of Charleston. It is on Shem Creek, which has a newly built boardwalk park over the marsh with views of shrimp boats along the way. Next door is a colorful restuarant and bar. Did not use the balcony much because our room was near the noise from the air conditioning units. But we took several pleasant walks along the new park boardwalk at sunset. We spotted dolphins in the creek. The room was fine and the breakfast was good enough to get us going. The price was right at less than $100 a night due to a special on Travelzoo. We stayed in early November. Would recommend it if staying downtown Charleston not a priority.

After staying downtown Charleston for several nights, we came here. We stayed creek side and loved watching the dolphins swim up and down the creek. Rooms are dated, simple, but clean. Breakfast was very limited and serving area very small.
