“Excellant stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

The visit started with a hearty welcome from the hotel staff at the counter and got better as the 3-day stay continued. We received a courtesy call after settling into the room to see if everything was to our satisfaction. The breakfast was wonderful with everything from cold cereal and hot oatmeal to fresh fruit, yogurt and fresh waffles.
Definitely will stay again my next visit to Lexington.

“Everything I expect from a Hampton Inn and more.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011 via mobile

I regularly stay at Hampton Inn and fount this property to be on par with the best ones. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check-in was speedy and I was greeted by name. The renovations have been completed and the lobby and exterior was immaculate. Someone had spilled liquid just outside one of the elevators, when I brought this to the desk clerks attention it was cleaned up immediately. The room was spatious and very comfortable. The A/C was a bit noisy on start up but quieted down quickly. I did not smell any smoke in any of the common areas or the room. The rate we were quoted was exactly what we got when we arrived, a special weekend rate which was nearly $30.00 cheaper than staying in Columbia proper. There are an abundance of eateries within walking distance. The breakfast was well stocked and fresh, hot food was hot and cold food was cold. Good variety of yogurt and cereal, as well as waffles and eggs. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and will stay here again in the future when we pass this way again.

“Not Bad, Decent Hotel, Decent Price. But Nothing to Write Home About.”

We stayed at this property two nights for a wedding. It wasn't bad. But compared to other Hampton Inn's I've stayed at I'd rate this a Five on a scale of Ten. Staff was very nice but the hotel really needs an update. It's showing its age. Main problem that irked me was our room door was loose on the hinges. I had to force the door open and closed. I immediately called maintenance and they attempted to screw in the fasteners tighter. But I could see from my experience with these sort of things that the screws were stripped in the door itself. It worked for maybe a few hours then the door started hanging up again. I had to fight with it to close or open it again. This became a potential problem when housekeeping came and left. The door didn't close all the way. I came back to the room and found the door ajar. Luckily, nothing was missing. Didn't bother to call maintenance back since I could see the door simply needed replacement. I was a bit disappointed the hotel didn't have an exercise room on-site but they did have a deal with a nearby Golds Gym where a simply flash of a room key and your ID got you in for free. It was a bit of a walk from the property so I did try out the deal and they accommodated me well at the gym. Wireless internet was so-so. There was a lot of noise during the day from some sort of work going on. I could hear a hammer-drill going at it both days we were there. A little annoying when relaxing to hear that going on. Price wasn't bad, about $82 per night for a Wedding Rate. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was definitely, not up to Hampton Inn standards. Everything tasted like metal. Overall, I would recommend this property for a place to lay your head, but if they're even thinking of charging more than what we paid, I'd think twice. It's not worth it for any more of your hard-earned dough than around $80 bucks.

Room Tip: Specify to hotel staff when booking if you want a connecting room.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review based on your recent stay to our facility. The hotel has taken the corrective measures to fix the door problem that was encountered in the room. Our hotel is in the process of receiving the last leg of its facelift which will update the lobby and common areas. The rooms were updated less than a year ago with modern amenities such as a flat panel tv and in room suitable technology. Comments and suggestions such as these help us to get better and provide the most pleasurable experience for our returning and new guests. Again, thank you for reviewing our hotel. chad cook/general manager

“Pleasing.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 April 2011

Room was very clean with great bedding....multiple pillows for soft/hard confort. Lobby provided baskets of fruit daily, plus nice hot continential breakfast and a cookie tray in afternoon. Also, as we left there were bags of "To go breakfast". Very nice with water, breakfast bar and apple. Nice touch. It is those little extra's that impress. The hotel is behind a store, so quiet, except for guest on Saturday night who were so loud we had to complain several times. Manager did take care of problem eventually and manager on duty next day comp night when they were made aware. Hotel was painting outside and noisy with windows taped up, however, we arrived on Friday and they didn't work the weekend (hooray) and the windows were untaped on Saturday so we could look out.

Room Tip: we were on the 3rd floor at almost the end...

“Wonderful Hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 April 2011

Whenever I travel, business or leisure, I always spend the night in a Hampton Inn, I love them, lol.
This one in Lexington, SC was very nice. The staff was very nice, helpful and the place was very clean.
They are actually in the middle of renovating but I don't know how they could make the place nicer, lol.

Room Tip: I always stay on the 1st floor myself.
