“OK for a night or two”

We stayed here on our way to Charleston also. We made reservations thru Priceline, therefore we did not get to pick our room. The fact that we got a great deal on priceline is the reason I rated the value so high. They were accomodating in changing the room from a two bed room, to our preference of a king size bed. The room is an average beachside room. Slightly used, but doable. One concerning thing, was the complimentary lotion left in the bathroom. It was an OLD tube, that as filthy...not sure where it had been. The rooms are all doors to the outside and if you are near the elevator it can get quite noisy. We were there in the off season, and still had guests who woke us up talking as they were getting off the elevator. If you are there in high season with guests who are whooping it up, you might have a problem. The interior of the building is an open concrete area with convenient seating...but that would be an awful set up if you are trying to sleep in one of the rooms off this area. Overall, it is very convenient to the beach, a short walk across a boardwalk and you have open beautiful beaches. The breakfast was definitely contnental....basic sweet rolls and coffee....nothing fancy. This was a nice place for a night or two, not sure I would stay here for a vacation. The pool was up on the second floor, with a view of the roof next door....it was very small and though not being used at the time we were there had chairs in the water.

Room Tip: There are beachfront rooms with balconies....make sure not to get a room to close to the restaurant...

I would like to thank this guest for their feedback. I apologize for the inconvenience they experienced during their stay. Rest assured that the issue mentioned has been addressed. It seems that overall, they enjoyed their stay with us. The concerns of the summer season are to be expected. We handle every issue that is within our control. Again, I would like to thank this guest for taking the time to write a review for us.

“Nice place and a great location!”

It was an impromptu trip for us. We were on our way to Charleston but decided to ride through Isle of Palms and fell in love with the quaintness of the little town. We were in walking distance of several restaurants/ bars so it was nice to park the car and walk where ever we wanted to go.

We really enjoyed the private balcony and the layout of our oceanfront room which had a king size bed, a dining/living room section, small kitchenette and bathroom.

The continental breakfast has the usual things plus biscuits and sausage gravy that was quite good. The staff was super friendly and I'm sure we'll be back again!

We are so happy these guests decided to drive onto the island and discovered our hotel. We are always happy to read the reviews of happy guests. We are glad they enjoyed the convenience of being near restaurants and souvenir shops. They were on their way into Charleston, which is only 12 miles south of us, so they got to enjoy the best of both worlds, the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful historic city of Charleston. We do hope they come back to stay with us in the near future.

“We enjoyed our stay....”

We came to the Charleston area after Christmas to tour the area. Stayed two nights at the Palms Hotel. Will definitely come back. The room prices are modest - our room was comfortable and clean. We stayed in a room with no view as we were not going to be in our room much and it was very cozy. This would be a great getaway for a family that needed more than one room - the second floor has the pool and a large corridor where everyone can meet and visit - play cards/games.

The beach access and area was beautiful -

Room Tip: The pool is on the second floor....

“Sunsets!!”

The sunsets from the beach right outside the hotel were spectacular every night. The location is great--it's a cute little beach town, and in November, it wasn't very crowded. It is a nice drive into Charleston proper, and it's not far from Mount Pleasant with all its attractions.

The room was nice and clean but nothing special. It was a bit loud in the halls. There were nice views from our balcony (oceanview room), although we'd just walk to the beach itself for the views and be there in 2 minutes.

Value was great--under $100/night for the oceanview room as it was the off-season. Significantly cheaper than anything in Charleston itself.

We arppreciate this guest writing a review for us. It is always nice to read when a guest enjoys their stay. As mentioned, November is a nice time to come and visit with us, especially if you want to avoid the large summer crowds. The weather is usually still nice that time of year as well. We are glad this guest enjoyed the beautiful ocean views and loved the convenience of being right on the beach, but also very close to Historic Charleston. We hope to see this guest again in the near future.
