We stayed here on our way to Charleston also. We made reservations thru Priceline, therefore we did not get to pick our room. The fact that we got a great deal on priceline is the reason I rated the value so high. They were accomodating in changing the room from a two bed room, to our preference of a king size bed. The room is an average beachside room. Slightly used, but doable. One concerning thing, was the complimentary lotion left in the bathroom. It was an OLD tube, that as filthy...not sure where it had been. The rooms are all doors to the outside and if you are near the elevator it can get quite noisy. We were there in the off season, and still had guests who woke us up talking as they were getting off the elevator. If you are there in high season with guests who are whooping it up, you might have a problem. The interior of the building is an open concrete area with convenient seating...but that would be an awful set up if you are trying to sleep in one of the rooms off this area. Overall, it is very convenient to the beach, a short walk across a boardwalk and you have open beautiful beaches. The breakfast was definitely contnental....basic sweet rolls and coffee....nothing fancy. This was a nice place for a night or two, not sure I would stay here for a vacation. The pool was up on the second floor, with a view of the roof next door....it was very small and though not being used at the time we were there had chairs in the water.
