“Exceptional resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Our family stayed at the resort in mid-January, and found everything to be five star in all respects. We had reserved a two bedroom condo, but were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been assigned a three bedroom instead . On top of that, all the furnishings and carpet were brand new (including newly painted walls). Surf Watch had 3 pools open (two outdoor and one heated indoor). The grounds are well maintained, and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our two granddaughters (aged 5 &
7) took advantage of the planned children's activities, and enjoyed playing on the nearby Atlantic
beach. The Marriott Surf Watch Resort will be our choice for our next stay in Hilton Head.

“Another great Marriott property”

This was a wonderful family vacation for us. Again, the Marriott Surfwatch was a beautiful 2 bedroom unit which was perfect for our family. Beds were comfy; master bedroom and bath were beautiful; TVs in both bedrooms; two bathrooms; kitchen was great; washer and dryer utilized and very handy to have. The pool at Surfwatch was used every day for hours and hours - it is a saltwater pool just so you're aware. At night they had outdoor fires for smores. It was a wonderful place to stay. It was minutes to walk to the ocean with another great pool and outdoor patio, which wasn't open though because of the time of the year. The ponds were beautiful outside of our balcony with the waterfalls. We will be back here!! We stayed here from 12-26-2010 to 1-2-2011.

“Excellent Resort”

We arrived late on Christmas Eve and were surprised by the gifts that we found in our villa. There was a small bottle of champagne for my wife and myself, a little teddy bear for my son, and a $50 gift certificate for use at the resort.

We were able to take in many activities while we were there: burger and beer Monday night football special, beer and brat tasting, ornament painting, bird house painting as well as use of the pools and the playground for my son.

Our villa had just been refurbished and we were the first guests to use it since the refurbishment. I'm not sure if the shower in the master bathroom was new, but it was remarkable with four heads.

Surfwatch is a wonderful property.

Room Tip: There might be one building that they call ocean front, but even that would be stretching it. The m...

“What fun!!!”

Surf Watch is a resort of under 150 villas located on Hilton Head island. The two bedroom ,two bath villas offer very comfortable accommodations for up to eight people. Each of the bedrooms not only had Marriott's top of the line beds, but had their own TV's plus the TV in the living area with a balcony that could be visited from either the master bedroom or the living room. Master bedroom had a king size bed while the guest bed room had two queen size beds. There is a pull out sleeper sofa for an additional two guests. The kitchen is fully equipped in case you want to eat in rather than eat out at every meal with an full size dining area.. Everything is immaculately clean and well maintained.. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with a pond, complete with fish for you to catch and release as well as ducks, and a dramatic fountain. A large indoor heated pool for cooler weather plus two other pools, one of which is ocean front, are heated during the winter months plus hot tubs. There is a small play ground, horse shoe pit, table tennis, shuffle board, a fire pit, and a variety of board games available from the front office. Lots of activities are available some for a small fee and others complimentary. Since we were there Dec. 24th-Dec. 31st, , the staff went out of their way to make sure there was a festive atmosphere. A small Teddy bear with a greeting card was waiting on us in the master bedroom and they gladly gave me another as mementos for each of our two young grandchildren. To bring the guests together, there were the following complimentary gatherings...1.a beach walk in the morning , 2. swimming lesson for the young ones. 3.wine and cheese tasting, 4 . hot chocolate and 'smores complete with :"snow' to delight the children around the fire pit..5. brats with trimmings. 6. chili and toppings. 7 decorate sugar cookies. 8. write and send a postcard. 9. water aerobics. 10 yoga. A cinema played a selection of movies and you could relax in the large leather chairs.. For a small fee you could....play bingo, have a hamburger and watch Monday night football, decorate a wine glass while drinking champagne, have a mimosa, decorate a birdhouse, and the list goes on and on. Many of the fees went to the Miracle Network. Our family had a wonderful Christmas at Surf Watch. I think we could make this resort our Christmas tradition!!!!!!

“Not even there yet and they have impressed me!”

My family has checked into two of the three units we will occupy this week and the staff has gone above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and taken care of!
Very impressed with all the pre-arrival contact with the resort contacting US first to see if we had any special requests or needs. I will write a full review once the week is over, but am just so pleased with how the staff at Surf Watch has accommodated my family of 11 !
My sister asked about the heated outside pools and they told her to call them if it wasn't hot enough...and they will make it hot! I like that service!
