Easiest check in ever, efficient gate people, clean condo. (No mid week cleaning.) Every unit has a big kitchen with new appliances and best of all full size washer and drier. Funishings are relatively new and clean. The wallpaper and countertops still need updating but did not take away from our fun week. Our unit easily accomodated 5 adults and two children. Bicycles are for rent on property. Many tennis courts available as well as a basketball court. The pools have been updated and are lovely. Chairs for use on the beach, grills and other outside stuff available for guests to use at no charge. The only issue we had was that our cell phones did not get much of a signal indoors and the complex uses "i-bridges" to provide internet to the units rather than wi-fi. WI-Fi is available in the reception area and the pool.

The best thing about the Island Club, a mix of timeshares and other condos, is its location literally steps from Hilton Head's wonderful beach.This feature is by no means common on HHI; a walk of some distance is often required. (The Disney Club renters even have to drive across the main parkway to get to their beach from their condos.) The Seawatch timeshare unit is an aging condo building that has been upgraded in recent years presumably under new management. Both the exterior and unit interiors have benefitted from the renovations, which include things like flat-panel Sony TV's, new bedding, furniture, carpeting, etc.The spacious and comfortable units have functional, middle-of-the-line kitchen appliances. Our stay was bookended by two drawbacks. Upon arrival late at night, we couldn't find the luggage cart corral, which we discovered in the morning inexplicably was on the landing of the 2nd floor. Upon depature, the instructions were to strip the bedding, run the dishwasher and take out the trash--not exactly a fun way to end our stay.

We toured several units in 2009 at the Island Club Seawatch in Hilton and they were all beautiful. The resort is mid-scale, but appropriate for the price. Very well maintained. Wonderful beach front location. In 2010 we rented a unit from a private owner through Hilton Head Vacation Rentals. We rented Neptune 5402 which is owned by Dr. Raj and Prabha Tripathi of Ohio. They also own 4402. This unit was truly horrible. the carpet was extremely disgusting, the unit had a bad smell, and the doors to the balcony were so warped that you had to throw your body against it to get it to shut. Everything was very mildewed. The ceiling had water stains all over it. We could go on. Hilton Head Vacation Rentals said they dropped Tripathi's units from their listing because the owners refused to repair them but they still offered a key service for them. They said 4402 was actually worse.

We would definitely stay at this resort again. It is really nice....but you have to be really careful which unit you get. Never rent 5402 or 4402. They are terribly misleading in how they are advertised on the web and actually cost more than really nice units at this property. Wish the owners of the resort had some standards to protect the reputation of the resort from units like these. These units cast a bad light on a really nice resort. I don't know how many other units like 5402 exist at Island Club. We looked at 3-4 really nice ones.

We stayed at the island club the week of August 8, 2010. My husband and I and my two children ages 18 and 19 were there for a week. Not long enough. We found the place very clean and well decorated plus they have everything there for you. Didn't need to drag linens and towels. We loved the beach, it was very close and our villa had an elevator to help load the beach stuff.
We loved the pool and used it quite a bit. It could have used some music around it The fitness room was nice to have available when you didn't feel like exercising outdoors. Liked the BBQ grills on the property but didn't get a chance to use them, but they were very clean.
Good area to stay at it was located closely to everything we went to.
