My husband and I stayed at Sea Pines in September. We booked a 'premier' condo in Ketch Court (#847), overlooking Harbour Town. The condo was perfect size and location for our trip and the resort was perfect. Sea Pines is an incredibly relaxing place - we booked 2 bikes for the week for under $50 and could bike the shaded trails to beaches, restaurants, shops throughout the plantation. The only times we hopped in the car were to head to the golf course (couldn't get the balance right with clubs on the back).
The condo itself was pretty basic, I can't say the amenities were 'premier' and the facilities were pretty old, but the location and view outweighed any negatives. It was perfect to be able to fix a quick bite ourselves and save a bit on restaurant bills. It's also a bit tough to be on the 4th floor. The elevator is ancient and you will wait forever for a ride. We mostly took the stairs, so it was a slog with those golf clubs.
The restaurants on property were all pretty decent. Our favorite meals were off propoerty though. There was a fantastic BBQ place (Smokehouse) that we still refer back to and a decent Pizza joint that was not affiliated with the resort, but on the Sea Pines plantation.
The best part of Sea Pines was that you could choose to do as much or as little as you wanted during the days and you always felt like you were getting little bursts of exercise with those bikes. We plan to head back many times over the coming years.
