“847 Ketch Court”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

My husband and I stayed at Sea Pines in September. We booked a 'premier' condo in Ketch Court (#847), overlooking Harbour Town. The condo was perfect size and location for our trip and the resort was perfect. Sea Pines is an incredibly relaxing place - we booked 2 bikes for the week for under $50 and could bike the shaded trails to beaches, restaurants, shops throughout the plantation. The only times we hopped in the car were to head to the golf course (couldn't get the balance right with clubs on the back).

The condo itself was pretty basic, I can't say the amenities were 'premier' and the facilities were pretty old, but the location and view outweighed any negatives. It was perfect to be able to fix a quick bite ourselves and save a bit on restaurant bills. It's also a bit tough to be on the 4th floor. The elevator is ancient and you will wait forever for a ride. We mostly took the stairs, so it was a slog with those golf clubs.

The restaurants on property were all pretty decent. Our favorite meals were off propoerty though. There was a fantastic BBQ place (Smokehouse) that we still refer back to and a decent Pizza joint that was not affiliated with the resort, but on the Sea Pines plantation.

The best part of Sea Pines was that you could choose to do as much or as little as you wanted during the days and you always felt like you were getting little bursts of exercise with those bikes. We plan to head back many times over the coming years.

“The perfect family vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

We've been traveling to Hilton Head with extended family for almost 40 years and it is just the best. The beaches are wide and accessible, the sand is packed enough to ride bike on, there is, of course, golfing and tennis for all. We love the South Beach area for its quiet bike paths and fun marina with its famous Salty Dog Cafe. We always rent bikes to get around and have been there in all 4 seasons of the year at one point or another. Many great family memories were born here. We'll be back this spring.

Room Tip: Look for Land's End as your destination and then check with one of the many realty companies in...

“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

If you are looking for a peaceful stay, this hotel is the place. The rooms are fabulous - beautiful and tastefully decorated. I opted for the one that overlooked the golf course and the view was breathtaking.

But it is not just the rooms, the lobby area and the outdoor spaces are just as inviting. One morning, I sat downstairs in the living area with the fireplace and read a book. Later that day, I sat in a rocker on the back porch.

Many times you go to a place and think, "was this worth the money?" With this place, I left there with no question. It was.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the golf course.

“Amazing New Years at Sea Pines Caravel Court”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

We rented a two bedroom villa at Caravel Court for the New Years weekend. My husband and I have been to Hilton Head Island many times and have stayed in different locations but this was our first winter trip and first in Sea Pines. We could not have been more pleased. Especially when we got ouir first view of the Harbour Town marina and lighthouse from our back patio. We could walk to the shops and restaurants (ate New Years Eve at Topside - very good). It was a short drive to some of our other favorite places like Skull Creek Boathouse, Coligny Plaza, Salty Dog Cafe, and Island Bagels. The villa was updated and very luxurious. Our only complaint was the TV was old and the color faded in and out but we weren't there to watch TV so we didn't care. I highly recommend Sea Pines Resort and Caravel Court.

“Plush, magnificent”

Every attention to detail was given to this top-of-the-line resort. Our rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed, filled with pleasantries and thoughtful details. The towels were plush, the robes and slippers soft, the lotions and toiletries sumptuous. A most enjoyable stay.
