“Great stay, with minor issues, would definitely return”

Stayed here at the end of December. We chose the hotel based on its reviews. We really enjoyed our stay.
+ Great breakfast, great rooms with great toiletries, personalized greeting card upon check-in, with chocolate and water bottles
+ Room with mini bar and snacks
+ Great TV channel selection
+ Heated outdoor breakfast area
+ Gorgeous views
+ Balcony with amazing views
+ Great mini-town in the resort: restaurants, convenience store, etc.
+ Got the room we had asked for
+ Close to shopping plazas

-/+ Why doesn't any hotel offer slippers anymore? We had bathrobes, but no slippers.

A few issues that somewhat bothered us:
- The resort is huge and they don't really give you a map of it at check-in, we had to do with the map in the hotel binder and ended up getting constantly lost whenever we would leave the room
- No information on where the beach is, the pools are, the bike rental is, etc. we had to keep asking around; and they only carry regular bikes, no crank-forward bikes
- One morning, at breakfast, they took our order for omelets, yet 25 minutes later, they still hadn't arrive. We thus had to reorder with another employee. When the employee we had ordered with initially came by to ask us how everything was, we told her about the issue and she was rather surprised. In conclusion, we just stood there waiting and waiting and no one came by to ask us how we were doing. We decided to give them time to rectify their mistake, yet had to take matter into our own hands and reorder so that we could finish breakfast and get going with our day
- New Years dinner: 2 options: we chose the Quarterdeck. A bit of a wait to get to our table, and while the food was very delicious, it was also very buttery, to the point where one of us couldn't continue eating past the first 5 bites. Also, one of the lobster tails came slightly undercooked, as they were packed and in a hurry to get the plates out, it seemed
- Extremely high beds, we constantly had trouble getting in and out of the bed. One of us bruised themselves on a couple of occasions too
- A vent into the room above one of the beds blew freezing cold air; where from, we had no idea

Overall, we wouldn't hesitate returning, as we loved the area, and the hotel was great in the end.

Room Tip: Plain luxury.

“Only disclaimer, this place may spoil you for other hotels...”

My husband and I spent New Years Weekend here, and completely enjoyed our stay. My husband had been previously on a golf trip, and was equally impressed with our most recent trip.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted by what is one of many interns from overseas. Presumably, they are hired because of their impeccable manners, which is actually quite a brilliant business model for hotels and left an impression on us. The rooms are wonderful, and I will let the pictures do most of the talking as the rooms live up to them. Enjoy a bath if you have the time, not only do they fill up fast, but the water is HOT!

Instead of continuing the glowing report on how nice the hotel was (because it is indeed very nice), I will just mention a few helpful hints. 1. Before you can enter the sea pines resort for the first time, you will have to take your first right before the security gates to pick up a $5 gate pass that will be valid throughout the stay. 2. Only regulation tennis shoes are allowed on the courts, so if you only have running shoes you are out of luck. 3. Complimentary bikes are available for hotel guests to use on the resort. 4. A complimentary coffee service is provided every morning and is located by the elevators on each floor. You can trod down there in your pajamas and bathrobe to get your morning coffee and you won't be the only one. 5. The hotel breakfast is a combination buffet/made to order omelet service, and is quiet yummy. (foods provided included, bagels, several types of breads, brie cheese, fruit, yogurt, jams, muffins, scones, made to order omelets, etc).

The title of the review rings true, one weekend later we were at the W hotel in Atlanta, GA and realized just how spoiled we were from the Inn at Harbour Town. It does set quite a standard...

“Incredible Customer Service”

We stayed at the Inn at Harbour Town because of it's #1 rating on Tripadvisor and by far, this was one of the best hotel experiences we've had in a long time. The staff, who included many young interns from England, were pleasant, helpful and attentive; our large room was immaculate with a beautiful golf course view; and we were close to great shops and restaurants. This hotel has raised the bar so high that it will be difficult to find another hotel as well managed and attentive to detail. The Inn offers the winning combination of a luxury accommodation with a friendly, personable atmosphere created by a charming staff.

“An annual treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

Since we spent our honeymoon at the Inn at Harbour Town, we have looked forward to returning each summer on our anniversary. It is, without a doubt, the cleanest, most accomodating place we have ever visited. The staff is impeccably trained to be polite, helpful, and are delightful young people from many different places in the world. The coffee and hot tea provided on each floor in an elegant setting CERTAINLY replaces the need for a cheap "in-room coffeemaker" as one review suggested. They also have complimentary lemonade and iced tea in the afternoon after a day of outdoor activities. It is well worth including their breakfast each morning. What better way to start the day than fresh fruit, any breakfast food one could imagine - including a hot breakfast prepared any way requested and dine on the patio while watching early morning golfers begin their day on the beautiful golf course. 5*s with no hesitation!

Room Tip: Our favorite request is a golf course view!

What a wonderful treat the Inn at Harbour Town was on our vacation! The attention to detail was amazing! The inn is like staying in an elegant home...so intimate with all the comforts of a luxury hotel. And the staff was attentive to every detail and so accommodating. The golf and food were wonderful! Can not wait to return again and again!
