We stayed at Sea Crest Villas in late June during a family vacation in Hilton Head. The first thing you'll notice is there are 3-4 numerical codes that everyone needs to memorize (garage code, pool bathroom code, villa code, etc.) which is a bit of a pain. If you're arriving on a Saturday afternoon, be prepared for chaos as there are dozens of other families trying to unload their luggage and beach gear, and the elevators are very slow and luggage carts are limited.
The property is actually pretty nice. Both pools were well-maintained and our 2-BR villa was an ideal size for our family. All of the rooms have free WiFi. The beach is very wide here, particularly at low tide (probably 150 yards wide). It is quite crowded here because it's close to Coligny public beach access, but it's you'll still have space to toss a football.
Shopping, etc. is directly across the street (Coligny Plaza) and this is quite convenient. Many visitors choose to rent bikes for the week and get around that way vs. driving. Many actually ride their bikes on the beach, which has flat, hard-packed sand near the shoreline. Fun activities during the summer include fireworks at Shelter Cove, seeing Gregg Russell at Harbour Town (a MUST DO if you have small children!), and golfing.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Sea Crest to other families visiting Hilton Head Island.
