After reading some of the comments i hasitated about staying here, but i'm glad i followed my mind.We wanted to do something different and not in our city so we made arrangements to stay at the Players Club to bring in the New Year! We loved it,From check in till the end.We stayed in the "Egret" building which was really nice, our room was very clean the bed was to die for very comfortable. The grounds were very well maintained. This hotel is a lil old but it was well worth the stay.We loved it and will stay there again. Our room was centerally located across from the pond & the pool which was a great overview for us.I can't speak for anyone else but our location was great!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the Egret building!

“Pleasantly surprised with Players Club, not so Spinnaker Spiel”

My husband and I went to Hilton Head Island due to a phone call from Spinnaker Resorts. The Players Club was really nice, as opposed to some of the reviews here. It is an older hotel, but freshly painted and not smelly, very clean. The property itself is lovely and the gym would compare to any nice gym anywhere. We made use of the gym facilities and took a class - free of charge. The Welcome Center specialist was very nice, even waiting because we arrived right at 6 PM. Everyone at the Players Club was pleasant and accomodating.
As to Spinnaker and their promises - we did get reimbursed for gas as promised. The massage we had planned to receive was not available and we were also given a check in lieu of a massage. Two of the $25 dinner cards promised were redeemable in Hilton Head but not at all restaurants as we were lead to believe in the solicitation phone call. Three restaurants were available, IHOP, Sea Shack, and Bistro 17. Sea Shack and Bistro 17 were both very good and we were within $5 of our $25 certificate at each location. The remaining $100 reimbursement comes in the form of Dough Dining, which is restaurant.com and you will have to spend additional monies at the designated restaurants in order to make use of the $25.
Once we said no to the offer (it was appealing, just not the right time for us) we were treated kindly by the exit interview person.

Room Tip: We enjoyed our view of the lagoon.

“Loved the Alligator!”

Just got back from a timeshare review with Spinnaker resorts. Stayed at the Players Club. The room was nice although they took out the light in the closet...and not enough light in general. It was old but who says old is bad. The room was clean and plenty of towels left in the bathroom (without asking). We stayed in the Egret building...it was the best in my opinion. They have a real live alligator! She is so cool and I loved watching her movements throughout the day. She won't bother you if you don't bother her. Facinating!
It would be nice if Players would offer breakfast and acces to the indoor pool for all guests. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and glad I made the trip. There were two others in my party and they really had a great time too. It's easy access to everything on the island.

Room Tip: We had a corner upper room. It was quiet and had a great view of the pond. The room was a little b...

“I would'nt do it if i was u!”

Me and my family brought a 4/3 night package from spinnaker resorts, the sale's rep told us that we would be staying in a 2 bed room condo @ the players club 4 229 taxes and everything included, and we would also recieve $50 dollars in spending cash back as well as $100 in dinning dough.Little did we know the player club do not have a condo 4 us when we arrive because that property does not have condo units, they put me and my husband and 3 kids in a standard room with 2 double beds.on top of that the dinning dough that they give you,u will never be able 2 use it because it's no such thing. The rooms was stink and old fashion looking,it just was a waste of my family weekened vacation.I would not recomand spinnaker resorts 2 any one if u want a nice relaxing vacation pay full price trust me it's worth it.Big Rip Off please dont waste ya time nor money!

Room Tip: No room is a good room!

“Better than expected.”

Large rooms, very clean, could use more lighting.Convenient to the beach, 10 min. walk or drive to Caligny Center and park free. Clean air gizmo kept musty odors at bay, but might bother those who react to ozone machines. Value? Went with friends who went to Spinnaker Resort sales promo. Four of us paid about $200 for three nights.

Room Tip: Bring a book light if you want to read.
