5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

My husband & I just stayed at the Days inn Hilton Head,SC.last Sunday night as we wanted to see Hilton Head Island. We wish we could have stayed for longer. We loved the fact that we could have a room on the ground level & park in front of our door. It wasnt far from the beach as well. Two thumbs up for this days inn and the staff are so so friendly and helpfull. Its very clean and well kept . Comfy beds, great tv stations and the morning get started breaki was just right! Thanks Days inn, -Patti

My husband and myself stayed here for three nights and found the staff to be polite, friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and fine for what we needed, it had coffee making facilities a refridgerator and a microwave and also a large tv. It was cleaned daily, there is also a complimentary breakfast that has danish pastries, doughnuts, bagels and toast making facilities, also sausage, gravy and biscuits with eggs was nice in all an adequate hotel. Can't comment on the pool as it was too cold to use, we would stay here again if visiting Hilton head but would recommend hiring a car as you need it to properly see what the island and surrounding area's have to offer.
The Black Marlin has Fabulous Seafood and steaks and Wild wings cafe has a nice atmosphere and the best chicken wings, and a night out at the triangle is a must Jump&Phils was great with the locals and bar tender really welcoming us we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the island

“"Decent for short stay"”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

Checking in was painless. I asked for an interior room (3rd floor) since I don't care for exterior corridors if I can avoid them. There is an elevator (just one) in the corner (left side of front desk) that works well. The carpet in the hallway was filthy and loose in a lot of spots so be careful when walking especially with older folks and little kids. There is an odor in the hallway that smells like old, wet carpet mixed with something else that I couldn't put my finger on but it wasn't overwhelming.
Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the blanket had lots of burn marks on it but the floor and bathrooms were clean. The water flow (shower head) was low and my room phone didn't work so I had to call the front desk from my cell. I reported it but it hadn't been repaired when we left. Breakfast was good. No waffle maker but they have a toaster to heat them and other foods include eggs, sausage, biscuits, muffins, pastries etc. and the hostess kept everything replenished. The pool is clean and heated until 10pm. There's a Diner across the parking lot that you can walk to and it was pretty good. There's also a small putt putt golf park on the lot. Drive slow once you get close because the hotel sign sits low on the ground and is slightly hidden by tree limbs. Overall it's a decent hotel for the price but I wouldn't want to stay more than a couple of days.

Room Tip: Always check the room before taking your bags in.

“Good Stay For Business”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2011

Stayed here one night while in Hilton Head on business. 3 story property with elevator, 3rd floor interior corridors, 1st & 2nd exterior. This was originally a Fairfield Inn, so if you remember those you get the idea. Good check-in, requested ground floor and that's what I got. Room was clean, comfortable, no odors. Typical amenities, micro/fridge, coffee maker, iron, etc. Wi-Fi was strong and worked well. King size bed with plenty of pillows which were comfortable; bed was a little firmer than I like, but was OK. Breakfast room was crowded, (hey, it's Hilton Head in August) so I didn't get to check everything out but they do have a hot breakfast....eggs, biscuits, gravy. Coffee was good.
Overall, a good stay; this isn't a resort property, so keep that in mind. Also a tip, if you haven't been to Hilton Head before, at night, it's a good idea (even with a GPS) to know where you are going when looking for restaurants, etc. They have no street lights and all commercial signs are very small and dimly lit, lots of traffic circles too.
