“Dated, but Good Price and Location”

We opted for the least expensive room, which with the AAA rate came out to $47 (not including taxes). The lagoon-view rooms were about $30 more expensive, and came with a microwave and fridge. Maybe these lagoon-view rooms have also received updating, however the room that we stayed in had not been updated.

The only thing that could qualify as an "update" in our room was the flat screen television, and the walls looked freshly painted with a bright yellow and orange that matched the bedspreads. Everything else in the room was old. The green carpet looked dirty and well-worn. The drapes were green, which really didn't match the bedspread and new paint color. The bathroom and sink area looked original. The lack of updates wasn't a huge deal (and kind of expected), because the price was so low. The carpet definitely needed to be replaced, but other than that the room felt clean. The pillows were really comfortable!

The reception building is a 5-minute walk from the building where the rooms are. The hotel offers a few covered parking spaces under the building, and the rest of the parking isn't too far of a walk from the entrance. The downstairs lobby is a little bare, shabby and uninviting, and could use some investment to make it a more functional space. The hallways in the building are all open-air, and therefore concrete and bare.

This property is located across the street from the beach, but because of how the property is set-up it is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel building to the public beach access.

The free internet worked well. The free breakfast had: scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, juice/coffee/tea, hot waffles, donuts & muffins. They do have a mini breakfast in the building lobby (tea/coffee & muffins), but for the main breakfast you must go to the reception building. There was a nice workout room in the reception building, but I did not use it.

The reception directed us to a local restaurant called "Sea Shack". It was amazing! A bit of a hole in the wall, and tucked away in an inconspicuous location, but the food was great! You must drive here, but it is only a 5-minute drive.

There is a supermarket and a small shopping center with restaurants within a 5-minute walk of the hotel.

Room Tip: Lagoon-view rooms may be more updated than the rooms on the other side, but also come with a higher...

“Inconvient Office Location”

The hotel location was great, close to beach so we could walk our dog there. The office was inconviently located if there was a problem. Like loosing your money in vending machines, all though the house keeping people helped out as much as possible. We also were greeted by someone in the lobby saying he was the concierge , but in reality he was selling time shares, Not good for the hotel! But our stay there was very enjoyable.

“Quiet & Clean”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

An older Comfort Inn in an older part of the island, it is very convenient to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. While ready for some remodeling perhaps, the hotel is very clean, service is excellent, and the price is right.

Room Tip: Lots of good parking underneath in the adjacent unit.

“Best spot on the Island for gettin' it all!”

We stayed here for a night on the way up the coast, and loved it so much we booked a 3 night stay on the way back down. Wonderful location off Forest Beach Rd and so close to shopping, THE BEACH at Coligny, and dining. Get up early and go watch the sunrise, then come back and enjoy a more-than-adequate breakfast with hot items, DIY waffles, cereals, pastries, yogurt, and fresh fruit. We loved the ample room and the balcony on the 4th floor allowed us to keep the slider open when it was warmer. And with a nice stairwell, we got in some exercise skipping the elevator. What a great place, and with friendly staff - Jeff set us up with recommendation to the Sea Shack - just a great place, we hated to leave and head south!

Room Tip: Go 4th-5th floors for a better breeze and possible views!

“needs some upgrade”

staff was very friendly, polite and helpful.it was our first visit to the area ,but we were a little dissappointed with the rooms and lobby area.rooms were clean but old and decor was very outdated, lobby area always had a musty or smoking odor ,elevators wherent as clean.time share rep was a little bit anoying and recomendations by him were poor.we couldnt try the breakfast since we were out too early (530-630 am ) on both days.also the fitness room was uninvited and it would be nice to have some kind of lounge to enjoy some drinks instead of going out of the property to do that.the pictures in the hotel website make the hotel rooms and area looks beautiful but in reality is not.it will be nice if they update the rooms and facilities around it.when people said "you get for what you pay" in this case is true.is not a bad hotel it just need to be updated thats all.i might consider staying there for vacation if some improvements where made.
