I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hilton for 7 days and could not have asked for a better stay. The rooms were excellent, the restaurant was great, and the service was top notch. This is definitely a place where you can relax on business or personal trips. It has everything you need.....Beach close by too!

We needed a place to stay overnight while we visited our family in Hilton Head and this hotel fit the bill. It was very reasonable in price for a winter rental, just after the holidays, and the room was huge. Woman at the front desk was very accomodating. King size bed was very comfortable as were the pillows, the bathroom was large with top class toiletries, my only 'problem" was finding the little refrigerator, which was hidden in the armoire that held the TV! That gives you an idea of how great the room was! Be aware that the hotel is huge and it was a fairly long wak to our room, so if you are limited in mobility, ask for a "closer" room. The grounds were lovely - they have a lake , an inviting swimming pool with lots of deck chairs, and a covered pavllion, and the beach was very nice to walk on, although it was December so too cold to swim. View from the huge sliding doors of our room were nice big trees with Spanish moss, very attractive. I would stay there again.

My husband and I stayed here for two days and could not have been happier. The location is wonderful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It was wonderful to take walks on the beach and do some fine dining and shopping in HH.

I'm sick and tired of poor customer service.
* When I checked my reservation with the front desk (no, not Corporate reservations, the front desk at the hotel) the week before my stay, they assured me they would do their best to get me a smoking room. Upon my arrival, I was told the entire hotel went smoke-free 7 months earlier. The desk clerk who took my call knew they couldn't give me a smoking room - THERE AREN'T ANY! This is called "bait-and-switch", and IT IS ILLEGAL.
* Despite the fact that our group rented some 125 rooms per week for two weeks straight, the hotel refused to waiver on their 48-hour reservation change policy. So, those of us who finished 2 days early had to pay for them, anyway. This, at a time when other Hilton Head properties are standing empty.
* The worst maid service I have ever seen. Both toilet paper rolls were empty, and my requests to the front desk for TP went unheeded. I finally had to go into one of the public restrooms on the 1st floor, MacGyver the lock on the dispenser and steal a roll for my room.
* Grossly understaffed. Who would assign only one waitress for the entire restaurant, knowing 200+ people were all coming for lunch at the same time?

I could go on, but what's the point? In summary, do yourself a favor...stay somewhere else.
