I've stayed here a couple of times this year on business while consulting for a local company. I found this hotel to be pretty basic (as Fairfields typically are) but decent.
My last stay was in an "upgraded" king room which had more space, but not a whole lot else. The bed had a very thin mattress pad and a thin duvet. The individual room's climate control would simply turn itself off after a couple of hours and you could not run the fan continuously.
It is a Fairfield policy to provide free Internet. At this property, however, a low-speed connection (wired or wireless) is free but you have to pay 8.95/night for a higher-speed connection. The TV is a basic CRT type but it had a good selection of basic cable channels. The free breakfast selection was decent, with Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and a waffle iron in addition to the usual breads and cereals.
If you have to be in the immediate Hartsville area, this is probably your best choice. If you want anything fancier you'll have to stay in Florence (as some of my colleagues chose to do) which is about 20-ish miles away.
