We stayed here because our plane got in late and it was close to the airport. I had never stayed at a Super 8 before. I never will again.
One of the pillows had a visible liquid stain in it. I smelled it and the pillowcase was very dirty smelling; i.e. it smelled as though it had been used for an extended period of time and not washed.
The other pillows did not smell this way, but with small spots on them and the sheets, combined with the obviously dirty pillowcase, I was suspicious that all the linens were not clean. This impression was helped along by the fact that the hotel is run by a very large extended family of immigrants who live in the rooms. I have nothing against immigrants, but my impression was that they were trying to cut costs where they could or where dirt wasn't "visible".
The shower curtain was made of cloth, but was all stuck together at the bottom and stained yellow up to the height of the tub. I tried to get it apart so I could take a shower, but finally gave up, decided that it looked so gross I didn't want it in the shower with me anyway, so I flipped it out and the floor got soaked but I figured it could use a good cleaning anyway.
The toilet seat WAS NOT WIPED OFF even. How do I know? I wiped it off myself with a hand antibacterial towelette the moment we arrived, and visible spots came off. So, they did not even wipe the toilet seat before they rented it out to us.
One of the lights had a bad bulb. The corners of the wall between the counter tops and the wall were grungy looking--like years of wiping in the middle to get off the worst and not really cleaning.
The lobby was incredibly hot--supporting my theory that they tried to cut costs. The breakfast area was unbelievably filthy. Every single table was empty of people, but absolutely loaded with crumbs. Yet, a staff person stood nearby, content. There were crumbs about the floor, and huge chunks (too big to qualify for 'crumb') were scattered on the stairs to the second floor.
Oh yes, there is no elevator, but the time you get to this line I doubt you'd even consider this hotel anyway.
