We recently stayed at this hotel and I was very disappointed. We have stayed at other Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham and I expected this one to be similar. I agree with one of the other reviewers about it looking like an old apartment complex. The outside of the buildings are very much in need of some attention. The paint is peeling and the wooden stairs are in very bad shape. There are numerous buildings (2 stories tall) surrounding a courtyard. However the office is in a separate building and to go to the office at night you have to go outside and across the dark courtyard, which is not very well lit.

The plus side is that they had a decent breakfast and a computer for customer use. Our suite was a 2 story suite with a kitchenette, living room, dining room and bath on the first floor with a "murphy" bed in the wall. The loft upstairs contained a bedroom and another complete bathroom. It appeared to be clean enough, however the lock on the door didn't work right and they had to come and unlock it for us the first time we went in. Each time we went out we had the same problem so we always left someone inside when we left the room. It was a spacious suite for a family and they would be able to save by doing some of their meals in the room.

It left a bit to be desired and I'm not sure I would stay there again. First impressions matter and we did not have a good first impression.

The Greenville sc hotel was nasty. It smelled like cigarette smoke and musty. When your neighbors showered or flushed it sounded like Niagra Falls in your room. The beds were uncomfortable with tiny pillows to go with it. Its cheap and in a convient area but there are other hotels in the same area, look around only use this place as a last resort.!!!

Reallt nice hottel with the Breakfast in morning and snacks in evening. Nice Gym. Nice badminton court. Nice swimming pool. Housekeeping excilent. NIce staff. Privacy maintained.
Good amount of parking Space. and near to the market place.

While there the pool was only open 2 days out of 30 and they said it needed work and a permit and would be open within a week when we checked in but never was open regularly. The rooms need some work as well as appliances need changed as they do not work well or at all. The rooms do have a regular kitchen so you can cook or bake which is nice for long term. They are under new ownership so hopefully the new owners can make the property what it needs to be. If you want breakfast they do have it but it never changed the whole time we were there. They had sausage patties, scrambled eggs, cereal, danishes, toast, bagels, coffee, milk, and juice everyday.
