“Nice hotel on Main Street”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

We stayed at the hotel as part of a wedding group last weekend. The hotel is nicely appointed in the lobby and public areas. The rooms were a bit small. The fitness center is well stocked and had plenty of equipment ot choose from.
If you self park ($6 vs $15 for valet), unload your luggage first. You have two sets of stairs (5 or 6 steps) in between the parking garage and the rear hotel entrance.
The hotel is on Main Street so you can easily walk to bars, shops and restaurants. Nose Dive is a gastropub connected to the hotel on the main level. They had a DJ playing the night that we went and we had a great time.

“A Beautiful Hotel and A Beautiful City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

I am a Platinum Starwood member who stayed at the Westin Poinsett in Greenville last week for the first time.
This is a beautiful property, positioned in the middle of Downtown Greenville with a wonderful selection of many fine restaurants, unique shops and a great deal of things to do. Let me share one outstanding example of this hotel's efforts to please it's customers. My work involves me traveling the country for weeks at a time and I was in town for a preliminary meeting with Bowater. I brought my wife and 5 year old daughter with me this time because my wife wanted to see Greenville after reading about it in a magazine. After arriving at the hotel while waiting for my wife to finish getting ready for our dinner at Soby's, I was having a drink in the lobby and began talking to a young lady who was bar-tending by the name of Jackie. I explained to her why I was there and asked her about the town, any family related activities she might suggest, etc. When you travel as much as I do you come to expect a certain level of professionalism with Westin hotels as I've seen with their other properties. This young lady was extremely polite, engaging and helpful from the beginning. The next evening she met my wife as she ordered a soda for our daughter along with ordering room service, again she was nothing but excellent as my wife inquired about what she could do with our daughter the next day while I was in my meetings. When the food arrived to the room it also came with a map of downtown Greenville circled with various activities my little girl and her could do. My wife was extremely pleased and shocked that she took the time out of her job to do that for them. I have taken my family on trips a few times but never have we been shown the amount of respect and attention to detail as this hotel's staff has shown us.
This hotel is a pleasure to stay in, the rooms are immaculate, and the hotel staff all around is very warm and inviting. I have and will recommend this property and this beautiful city to my co-workers and friends, and I look forward to staying with them again next month

“Great location!”

We were at the Westin Poinsett Greenville for New Year's Eve and the hotel was great! The location was perfect for walking to restaurants, the park, and other attractions and was very nice and clean with exceptional service. The middle-of-the-night breakfast buffet was also perfect for those of us ringing in the new year way into the night!

“Great facility and awesome people!”

We are local to the area and made the choice to have our wedding and reception in the Poinsett Ballroom. We are so glad that we did! Our goal from the beginning was to have a small wedding and reception for only family and the very closest friends, with a larger party during summertime at our home. The ballroom is huge and could easily accommodate groups much larger than our own (24 people).
The Westin Poinsett proved to be absolutely perfect from the very first step all the way to the last. The historic building, beautiful ballroom, awesome food, and available ameneties were fantastic; but as with most things, it's the people that make the difference. There are not enough compliments and thanks for the wonderful people that made our dream a reality. Thank you thank you thank you Sarah, Rachel, Stephen, Lewis, and all the others!!!!

We strongly recommend to check out the Westin for any stay or event.

“Holiday Gathering”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

My sisters and their families, from Charleston and Columbia, traveled to Greenville to join us for our extended family Christmas.
My wife and I have enjoyed the Westin Poinsett and the Westin Buckhead and knew they would be impressed. We were right. The rooms so spacious and comfortable, we enjoyed Main Steet and Falls Park, then finished the evening with drinks in the bar. A comfortable, lively setting where we caught up on the events of the holidays.
The breakfast buffet was delicious and complete. There was plenty for everyone needs and wants.
We are talking about making this a Holiday tradition.
