Be sure to ask which internet network to log on too...each 'side' of hotel has it's own network it runs the fastest on....i didn't know this for hours and sat through hours of frustration till i finally called front desk,,,once i was informed of the correct to use (in accordance to which side you on,--left or right), I proceeded ...BUT, even then, the internet is still slow...I did a speed test on speedtest.net and it proved how slow the speeds are....

Wow. If the Downtown Courtyard is an example of what business hotels should be, the GSP Courtyard is an example of what they should not be... run-down, delapidated, not super clean, etc etc etc.

The location is well-enough for work off of Pelham Road at I-85. And the lobby is decent. And...well, I've just run out of nice things to say. It didn't have bed bugs? There was a desk in the room. And a sofa. And a bed. Those are nice things, right?

Carpets felt tacky and furniture was definitely well used. It was clean enough to sleep in, but not really clean enough to want to take a shower when I was close enough to home to delay one. I don't really know if the other hotels in the area have anything more to offer, but this place isn't one I'd love to stay in again.

Have stayed here a several times in the last year and have always had a trouble-free and comfortable stay...Friendly staff, clean and well-maintained rooms.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. When I stayed at this hotel there were a couple of big groups staying there also. The noise was terrible. There was yelling and lots of commotion in the halls. It went on for hours even after I called the front desk twice. This started early in the evening and went on until almost 2 am. There were people smoking in the rooms and the hotel is supposed to be non smoking. Not only was the hallway smoke filled, but i could smell smoke in my room. The front desk apologized but never offered to move me to another room or hotel. They were also unable/ unwilling to quiet the unruly guests. To make matters worse the noise started again early the next morning. I didn't get hardly any sleep there. I ended up canceling my reservations for the next two nights as the noisy groups were scheduled to be there for the entire weekend. I ended up having to call Marriott customer care. Once I did that the general manager contacted me. I imagine if i hadn't called the customer service number nothing would have been done at all!! They gave me some Marriott reward points, but refused to refund my horrible nights stay. They gave me a shuttle ride to another Coutyard in town, but the shuttle service was free anyway when it wasn't being used by airline travelers. It's my understanding that this courtyard is franchised. When I requested a refund, they refused and only offered a free night's stay at that particular Courtyard. I have no plans to travel to Greenville in the near future, so this wasn't much of an offer.
I don't recommend this hotel. There are cheaper hotels in Greenville that are better.
Good management should not only apologize, but FIX the problem. They should also make a good faith effort to make it up to their guests if they are unable to fix
the problem to.
