Good location, staff was generally helpful, but I thought they were hiding the office when I went to the desk a couple of times. Had a roach in the bathroom, carpets are discolored in high traffic areas, insufficient elevator services (one elevator in the front for a 7 story property), breakfast area was mostly clean. There were stains on the drapes. Mattress was lumpy.

The area surrounding this hotel is wonderful and close to all the downtown eating establishments. The hotel was clean and I felt very safe with my children there. The room was wonderful: beds where comfortable, bathrooms clean and stocked, temperature control was great. La Quinta Haywood will be on the top of my list!!

This hotel is a "diamond in the rough!" Far better than most La Quinta Inns (though La Quintas are OK), the room size and qulaity of lodging was completely unexpected. Breakfast was B+. Room value was A+.

Met my girlfriend halfway here for a weekend getaway. We reserved a king suite, room 518. I must say the room was huge, seperate sitting room, french doors going to the bedroom and the bathroom, refrigerator, microwave and two televisions. We paid the extra ten dollars for the suite which is so huge. The hotel is designed perfectly unlike any other I have stayed in. They have an elevator on each end of the hallway which makes it very convenient. The front desk staff is a little rough, but the hotel is beautiful, the courtyard well manicured and the pool, which was not open for the season yet, is beautiful and equipped with a large hot tub! Looking forward to another stay at this location! Near so many restaurants and the mall is right across the street! Check out the riverwalk downtown...it was beautiful and an awesome way to spend a 71 degree saturday!
