I recently stayed one night during a business trip. My first room's heating unit showed 76 degrees but was very cold. Cold air was coming from the unit. I called the front desk who told me that they would reset it from the desk. Once they did this, it heated for a few minutes and the air conditioner kicked back on. This prompted a second call to the front desk who told me they were monitoring the unit from their area. I was told that their monitor was showing 74 while my thermometer was showing 79. I was told they were going to reset it. They did and the the air conditioner once again kicked on. I made a phone call and then went to the front desk; they offered me another room. I moved myself to another room which was better. This process took over 2 hours. I think they should have offered another room after the second call because it was apparent that the heating unit was not working properly.
The second room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was not appealing.
