I'm actually writing this review at the hotel. If you are looking for an affordable room for a trip to Carowinds, you found it! The hotel is across the street from the gates of Carowinds so the location is GREAT! Yes, its behind a gas station, but its not that bad. The beds are comfy, the bathroom looks brand new with a new tub, toliet and sink. The staff is SUPER FRIENDLY, very helpful, eager to help if you need assistance. The pool is kind of small, but judging from the other hotel pools, it seems to be a standard size. Hotel is also about 20 mins from Ikea too. :D Without a doubt, this is the cheapest, most cleaniest hotel near Carowinds. Pets are FREE, no deposit, free coffee at breakfast (no food though) and wifi card for 24 hrs is $2.99. I did extensive research, this is a real deal. For cheap carowinds tickets go to retail me not dot com. Enjoy!

I have nothing negitive to say about this place.

The guy at the desk was very friendly, the housekeeping was friendly. The room was VERY CLEAN the bathroom was really nice, the rooms are indoors, they have a elvador for the upstairs, the pool is right out the back door and was very nice. For the price you pay it is VERY NICE! It's half the price of all the other hotels in the area, across the street from Carowinds and you can get a MicroFridge in the room.

If there was ANYTHING negigitive about this place it's that it's behind a gas station and can be a little hard getting into it. But over all for $40 a night across from a theme park you can't get a better hotel.

I never saw nothing dirty about this place, in fact I was surprised at how very clean it was and the front desk is open 24 hours a day.

Reading the other reviews for this property, I am nothing short of amazed at how univesally positve they are. We stopped at this Motel 6 while passing through Charotte. It was late, and we just needed somewhere to lay our heads for a few hours. I have always depended on Motel 6 for this sort of thing. The guy at the desk was nice. This is the only positive. The stairwell that we took (inside the hotel) to get to our rooms smelled overwhelmingly of human urine. The room was small, which is fine. The walls were paper thin as some of the other reviews described, so every last noise was heard. While the room was not outwardly filthy, the sheets were threadbare, and sticky, the matress sagged, and the pillows were useless. The 1980's bedspread and scratchy thin blanket were like covering yourself with a sheet of asbestos. We layed in the room for 5 minutes, before getting up, driving 40 miles, and staying at a Red Roof Inn.

We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room. The rooms are small ,but I'd rather have a small clean room than a large dirty one! The people were friendly and they allow dogs!
