We stayed here overnight on our road trip to Florida, and again on our way home. Staff was friendly, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. The place looks old and the carpets were worn, but it was clean, and that was all that really mattered to us. The pool and whirlpool were nice, and the wifi was good, with a nice strong signal. Verizon phone reception wasn't great, but that's hardly the hotel's fault. There are a couple of gas stations nearby, which was convenient.
The complimentary breakfast was good, but a little different than described in other reviews. When you check in, you tell them how many adults and children you have, and they give you the appropriate amount of adult/child vouchers for the dining room; you have to present them when you go for your meal. Breakfast was sit-down table service, not a buffet. There's a menu you order from that restricts your choices a bit, but you can get a full breakfast with all the normal stuff: eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, toast, grits, hash browns, OJ, coffee, tea, etc. We tipped our server based on an estimate of what the breakfast would have cost us, but still, it wasn't a lot of money.
Overall, this is a fine place to stop overnight on a road trip, and we would likely stay again.
