I like the Holiday Inn Express chain. The hotels are new, the prices are reasonable and the quality is consistently good.
This is why I am so shocked that I have had no response from them in over a week since we spent the night.
The hotel was lovely. Breakfast was standard. The location was excellent. But the room was problematic. At 1:30 am we discovered that the heating/ac unit wasn't working. The room was so hot that we couldn't sleep. Maintenance was sent up and the unit began running again after some work. This did not solve the problem. The unit could not be regulated. Therefore we went from freezing cold to sweaty hot. Neither of us could sleep. When we did not receive our wake up call and were late for an appointment we discovered that the phone wasn't working. Nor was the exhaust in the bathroom.
Upon checkout, I mentioned these items and the fact that we had little sleep because of the heating issue. The woman at the front desk didn't seem to give a hoot. No apology, no comment. Nothing, except to note the items it seemed in some sort of maintenance log.
Bad enough......but I am a Priority Club Member. I sent an email about our experience and to date, I have had NO RESPONSE. I don't know what to make out of all of this.
