My inlaws bought a timeshare at Sea Palms Edisto, SC in 1986. We have gone every year since then. Certainly a true family vacation. My sons were 11 and 8 then and now they are 38 and 34. We all still go every April, including my 6 year old grandson and dauther-in-law. We love the golf, pool, lagoons, birds, trees and, of course, the ocean. Our unit has been renovated at least twice and we are expecting it to be updated this year. Although, we have had complaints with the kitchen, the staff is always accommodating. We love Edisto days and the shopping. We cook in most of the time (sharing responsibilities) but the restaurants are good. We have toured the plantations and Botany Bay. My grandson loves the serpenterium. Edisto Island and Wyndham is truly a nice family vacation. No hustle and bustle. Be sure to rent bikes (if you do not have your own bike). This is a great way to see the Island.

When we got in our room there was a huge bug on the bathroom floor. We were able to get a new room which was renovated and had more modern appliances. The walls were thin. We could hear the chairs moving above us. The television did not work nor did the internet when we got there. The front desk could not tell us when that would be fixed. I had to keep calling for them to send someone because no one would come to fix the problem. Overall the location is great but I would not go back.

This resort was wonderful and comfortable for our family of seven. The resort has much to offer, however most amenities are reached by car. The island is fantastic. The have many restaraunts to choose from and the shops are small and unique, not touristy. The grocery store is high in prices but friendly and have whatever you need. Charleston is only an hour away but the drive is scenic. If your looking for a laid back atmosphere and uncrowded beaches this is the place to be. Wyndham is remodeling their units here and we were lucky enough to get a newly remodeled house. We had a 4 bedroom unit which is a free-standing house.
