This place was a dump. The carpet was nasty dirty and the room smelled like a stale bar room and according to the front desk, it was non-smoking. The smell was so bad, we had to wash even the clean clothes we took home. We reserved a non smoking room and when we checked in, the lady said smoking right? I told her we were allergic to cigarette smoke and smell and we must have a non-smoking room so she said she would try to find us one that was non-smoking. I guarantee it was not and it was the last room they had. We were there for a basketball tournament with a large crowd for the weekend. Most of our crowd had bad rooms, but ours by far was the worst. We originally booked the room for two nights during the tournament but chose to drive back home nearly 4 hours away rather than stay the second night. I would have rather slept in the car in the McDonalds parking lot that was right next door that to stay another night. When I went in the next morning to check out a day early, the owner was working the desk and she was the rudest I have experienced. Never smiled, never asked how our stay was. Never even said thanks for your business. The hotel businees is the "HOSPITALITY" business. You might try a little of this along with some heavy duty cleaning. All she had to do was look around and she should be able to see how our stay was. We paid $52 per night and it wasnt worth $20 a night. I read in another post where someone commented that the health department should close this place down. I would tend to agree with this. Oh yeah, and the free breakfast??? Based on the cleanliness of the rest of the place, I wouldn't take my chances. We went there during January, so the use of the pool was not an issue, however it was nasty and right where everyone on the second floor had a view. When we arrived it had about 6-10 inches of green water in the deep end only and the next morning around the time everyone was showering and getting ready, I noticed that the pool had water up to the sloping portion. Could it be that the shower water drained into the pool??? We will never know. Coincidence??? HMMMM!!!
The only way to change this is to stop doing business with hotels like this. Take my advise and spend $100 and go down the road a block or two. It's for your health.
