I can't imagine this place was ever a Hampton Inn, as it's a somewhat renovated, converted motel. We arrived at 11:30PM after a long drive and were looking forward to a comfortable hotel for the night. The room was warm as we entered, but we figured the air conditioner would cool down the room quickly, well....we were wrong. We called the front desk, and though the desk clerk offered to change the room, it was too late to be packing up and moving.....so she offered a little fan, which we took back to the room to help the ailing air conditioner move the air about the room. It never really cooled down the room. The manager was not present, and the clerk promised he would call us, which he never did. Do yourself a favor....drive another 1/2 hour to Florence where there are a multitude of hotels.
