“Odd checking Acceptable room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Just under $40 for the night the room was acceptable. Stopped here Superbowl night after the party to sleep.

It was odd because I was told NO when I asked if I could see the room before I paid. Very bad but I don't thing the guy cared about getting customer.

2am in the morning he knew I wasn't going to look else where(unless i walked into a dirty room). Got into the room and it smelt like a hotel room. Checked the beds and bathroom no stains or major blemishes.

Bed was semi comfy. Had a good night sleep for the ride home in AM.

Missed Breakfast because it stopped at 9 before I got up.

Stopped overnight on way to Florida
Room musty, blankets matted with holes in them,no light over vanity and sink, bathroom missing tiles and mismatched toilet tank top, heat took ages to come on,family lives in front office of the business!
Really should be checked into by inspectors and head office of parent company!

“Not Sure If I Will Ever Visit Another Econo Lodge Again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2011

After a long night of driving and in desperate need of sleep at a reasonable price considering it was almost 4am and check out was at 11am. The person behind the window said the only non-smoking room available had a leaking air conditioner, we took it and asked if we can not pay the additional $15 fee for two people above the $35, he said no and when we began to leave, he said wait and picked up the phone and put it to his ear for about 5 seconds and said we didn't have to pay the $15. So we entered the room and it had a mildew like odor, the interior was outdated, the bathroom seemed to need minor repairs, and the beds were hard and felt cheaply constructed. Also, the bathroom had urine stains on the toilet seat, which is beyond me how the cleaning people forgot to clean that. Another problem I had was the extra lock was very cheap especially for a business.

If it wasn't that we were so tired and almost 4am, we would have went somewhere else. I believe if someone is going to spend $50+ at a motel, it should be clean, updated, smell good, and have a decent quality mattress set. Being my first Econo Lodge experience, I am not sure if this is common of all of them or perhaps isolated to this location.

“We don't honor the counpons”

Tried to jack up the price $5.00. Relented when I said I'd go elsewhere. Only 5 other cars showed up that night. NEVER STAY AT AN ECONOLODGE. I should have learned from previous stay at one near Savannah GA. Not exactly a dump, but close enough.

“Just keep driving”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2011 via mobile

I stopped here in April 2010 while driving from Miami back to Canada, it was 11:00 pm and bight he wife and I were tired.

Since this was our first time on the area we just pulled off the 95 and found the closest hotel. The price was very cheap which kind of scared me but at this point I was so tired I was just looking for a bed. Once we got to the room I kind of wished I was back in my car. The room was dirty and very out of date. We basically slept for a few hours and left right away.

The "breakfast" was so poor that we stopped at the next McDonalds for a mcmuffin.

Just keep driving or sleep in your car, you'll be better off.
